What you'll do
- In this leadership role, you’ll oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance for all City facilities. You will:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled technicians performing preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, water systems, chemical systems, and electronic controls
- Prioritize and manage maintenance work orders, service requests, and facility needs across all municipal buildings
- Coordinate renovation projects, contract work, consultant support, and cross-departmental collaboration
- Read and interpret codes, blueprints, specifications, estimates, work orders, reports, and related documents
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly, efficiently, and positively to City staff and department needs
- Oversee implementation and performance of ongoing maintenance contracts, ensuring contractors meet standards and customer concerns are resolved
- Prepare documentation for capital improvements and manage project budgeting, financial tracking, and expense requisitions
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Additional work experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible facility maintenance experience, including two years in a leadership role
- Working knowledge of a broad range of trades including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, temperature controls, and building automation systems
- Technical familiarity with equipment such as power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLCs, UPS systems, air handling units, and CRAC units
