Our Clinical Assistants perform a variety of duties that are clerical in nature, as well as assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of licensed medical and/or licensed nursing personnel. If you have the ambition and desire to work in a friendly and fun environment, LSCC is the place for you! - Provide initial customer service to all patients including but not limited to greeting patients, scheduling and confirming patient appointments using a multi-line phone, performing data entry into Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for patient information, and creating patient files - Facilitate patient check-in and check-out, explain patient payment options, including sliding scare fees, Medicare, Medicaid and other forms of payment assistance - Complete patient intake, income screenings, and conduct insurance verifications and authorizations - Collect and post patient payments; prepare deposits and follow established cash handling procedures - Provide conflict resolution and response to patient grievances - Create and maintain confidential patient files and records - All other duties as assigned Clinical Duties: - Obtain and document patient history, patient communication, and clinical treatment accurately and appropriately - Obtain and measure vital signs and record information on patients’ charts - Prepare and maintain examination/ treatment rooms, including cleaning, sterilizing instruments, and inventory of medical supplies and materials - Explain treatment procedures to patients under direction of licensed medical and/ or licensed nursing staff - May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis - Prepare and administer medications as ordered by licensed medical and/ or licensed nursing staff - Perform routine diagnostic and laboratory test We ask our Clinical Assistant to possess a minimum of: - High school diploma or GED - Completion of a Medical Assistant Program - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Six (6) months prior experience in a professional administrative or related capacity The following experience/skills are preferred: - Certification as a Medical Assistant received from a certifying body recognized by Lone Star Circle of Care in its reasonable discretion - Prior professional experience as a Medical Assistant - Previous work using electronic medical records (EMR) - Bilingual English/Spanish skills Apply for this job - indicates a required field Autofill my application First Name - Last Name - Preferred First Name Email - Phone Country - Phone - Resume/CV - Attach Attach Dropbox Google Drive Enter manually Enter manually Accepted file types: pdf, doc, docx, txt, rtf Cover Letter Attach Attach Dropbox Google Drive Enter manually Enter manually Accepted file types: pdf, doc, docx, txt, rtf Are you bilingual in Spanish?
