Rustic bar appropriately decorated with a mounted hippo head. They have several beers on tap and in the can as well as mixed drinks. They have daily drink specials, such as mimosa on Saturday. There is a long bar of stools along with several tables. The location is around the corner from Hutto's main historic downtown strip. There is free parking on surrounding streets.

Man, I thought I passed out and woke back up 30 years ago. Smoking inside is a terrible idea, even for a roadside tavern. Nobody smokes anymore, at least nobody worth hanging out with. The food is food, that's about the nicest thing I can say about it. The fried chicken sandwich was undercooked, which is hard to do if you've ever cooked in a fryer before. It ain't that hard to use a temp probe. The tater tots were fine. Hard to mess up frozen foods every time.
I ordered through door dash and was missing wings, wasn't happy about that because door dash never refunds money so I ended up ordering twice. So please check your orders when bagging. Food is basic bar food and mostly fried food I can honestly make better food at home. My husband liked the wings. This place is great for regulars, and drinkers like your local neighborhood bar. Not much else.
Was sent back to the 1980’s/90’s immediately as the smell of smoke was wafting out the back door before we entered. Friendly and attentive service, good music, was like the days when you’d meet your buddies and tie one on. Oh - had a Great Burger there also.

I want to share our experience with the staff. My husband and I have been at the restaurant a couple of times but we had experienced bad service from the waitresses. We were denied the military discount because we were not wearing our military uniform but we did have our ID ‘s. The main waitress did change her attitude towards us when we expressed our disappointment. It’s sad to know how they treat our military members. To the owner of this restaurant, needs to train their staff to show some respect. Our military deserves to be honored discount with or without uniform. To all military members. Thank you for your service!!! 🇺🇸
