I am regular customer here because i love this rock n grill food.. but this gratuity is becoming fashion and indian restaurants are following this American style.. if more than 5 persons what is the issue?? We are coming here to enjoy your food and pay for that food taking extra money doesn't make any sense for the service.. we are coming here to pay for the food not for the service.i think its owners duty to pay for the service workers..if we really like the service we will give tip for that service… dont take extra money from people on the name of gratuity..this is very cheap and its not a mandatory thing…people are not liking this gratuity scam.. we have good impression on your Restaurent..dont spoil that..we are already paying food bill why should we need to pay 18% gratuity if people is more than 5???? What is this point?? Really shame..better to remove that..
Really good Indian restaurant near Round rock! They have been consistent with their flavors and excel in appetizers and curries. My personal favorite is the gongura chicken.
This was my first time going to this Indian restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I would be willing to go back and eat there again. The service was impeccable and the server even offered suggestions as to what we should try.
Disappointed as dum biryani is special here but it is not good at all today If over let customer know and say It but making seperate cooked rice and added dum chicken is so bad
The food was amazing and I would go back and eat there. Loved the atmosphere
I have eaten at Rock N Grill a few times now, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants and bakeries in the area! The naan, boneless chicken biryani, methi paneer, & samosas were all delicious and flavorful with plenty of spices. This most recent time, we tried their watermelon juice (seemed freshly squeezed, so refreshing and tasted like a perfectly ripe watermelon), butterscotch cake (super tender white cake layers layered with the fluffiest whipped frosting, very sweet which I didn’t mind but be aware if you don’t like that), and cake pops which were some of the most delicious we have ever had. Props to whoever is making these homemade baked treats!!
Turn on your taste buds! Flavor comes alive when you eat here. Never been disappointed by the food. Every time we're here, the food is always excellent!
Gobi Manchurian: This was a great way to start the meal. The spice level was just right, very slightly hot but still very easy to keep eating without feeling overwhelmed. The crispiness could be a bit better, though with the amount of sauce in the dish, that might be difficult to achieve. I only mention it because I have had crispier versions before, but this is such a minor nitpick. The tanginess was spot on, noticeable but not overpowering, and made the dish really enjoyable. The flavor kept calling me back for more. This was easily one of my favorites. Chili Paneer: Another standout dish that I really enjoyed. I already like paneer a lot, so this was an easy win for me. The paneer is lightly breaded, allowing for a slight crisp while still soaking up the flavors of the chili sauce. The sauce itself was spicier than the Gobi Manchurian, which made sense. It had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I could probably finish the whole dish before realizing how spicy it actually was. No complaints here at all. Another one of my favorites Chicken Tikka Masala: This was also an easy dish to like. The curry was smooth, light, and flavorful, though maybe just a little on the watery side. It still held together well overall. One or two bites of the chicken felt slightly overcooked, but it was not consistent throughout the dish, so it may have just been a one off. Very solid, though not quite at the level of some of the other dishes. Chicken Biryani: The biryani was quite good. I tried it with both sauces that came with it, the yogurt based one and the other one, but personally preferred it without them. It paired much better with another curry dish. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well, and the portion size was generous. There were multiple layers of chicken, and the dish came in a large bowl that could easily serve several people. It is a solid dish, though it feels more like an upgrade to plain rice than something that stands strongly on its own. Chana Masala: This was a great, simple dish. The chickpeas were well cooked and the curry had a slightly chunky texture, which worked well. It was easy to enjoy and paired nicely with naan, rice, or really any carb. Chicken Chettinad: This was quite delicious. By this point the flavors start to blend together a bit, but I do remember this being one of the stronger curry dishes on the table in terms of flavor and overall enjoyment. Saag Paneer: Every place approaches this dish differently, and this version was done very well. It was creamy and had a nice thickness without feeling too heavy or too watery. It is filling in the way you expect, but still makes you want to keep eating. Definitely one of the top picks. Mango Lassi: The lassi had a thick consistency, which is worth noting. It does not necessarily make it better or worse, but it stands out. The flavor was well balanced, sweet with a slight tang that worked really well. This is easily one of the better mango lassis I have had and something I would order again Overall, the consistency of all of the dishes here speak to the high level of Indian cuisine that the restaurant holds itself to. I highly recommend this place to others, and this has become one of my top Indian food spots in Austin
Food is fresh and good, today i have came here for 2nd time. Same food and service quality
