Great people. Construction is a mess, but hopefully not for long.
Saturday April 26th 2026 We got Florence. We fell in love first visit. Gotta wait until Monday. And changed her name haha
They're amazing here. They care for the animals so much and make sure to find the perfect matches for the animals to have a forever home.
This place is awesome
Very friendly staff & out of all the shelters I have seen this is defintley one of the best where they strive to give each dog outdoor playtime & cares about its happiness right at that moment. Also, they care about the dogs future home to insure all parties are Happy. Can’t wait to take home Ace & give him the best life possible with the help of Central Texas SPCA! Thank you Cheyenne & Ivan for all of your help!
Sin los mejores no dejen de visitarlos muy bueno todo el menu
We had a wonderful experience with Central Texas SPCA. This shelter truly cares about what’s best for their animals. We visited last Saturday and my daughter fell in love with a kitten named Gully. We submitted an application and, after a few days, we were approved. However, Gully was adopted by another family who turned out to be a better fit for him. Once we received our approval, we went back and decided to bring home Dave — and we couldn’t be happier! The animals at this shelter are clearly very well cared for, and the staff is so kind and supportive. To make Dave’s transition smoother, they even provided us with food, toys, and a bed. Dave is our first fur baby, and he is such a sweet boy. We absolutely adore him. Thank you, Central Texas SPCA, for everything you do for these animals and for helping us find our perfect match😻
We love this place
Despite being a small facility they had such a great selection of sweet and loving animals. My favorite of all being Curtis! If you’re looking for an incredibly affectionate and loyal dog that would defend you with his life this is your man. I went to see the cats and decided to stop and love on some puppies. Curtis caught my eye with his tough looking demeanor but kind soul. I’ve never been one for “scary” looking dogs but he’s so wonderful! He knows tricks, he likes being petted on his butt, plays games. All around incredible dog. I’d take him home myself if my boy wouldn’t hate me for it haha. I believe Curtis is a Border Collie Pit mix. He has the agility and intelligence of a border collie and the strength (and affection) of a pit. I will certainly be back as I am looking for a cat and they have some fantastic ones. But I wanted to shout out Curtis for being so cool!
I am so grateful for this organization! We are a family of four and we were looking for a new furry family member. I went in to inquire about their dogs and had to go through the application process to adopt. Several days later they contacted me that our application was accepted and then our girl came home with us! When I left SPCA, the manager had set me up for success with our new dog. I have a slow feeder so she could gain weight properly, a whole bag of high quality food, her next medication for flea/tick/heart worms, her medical records, and what to do if I had questions. This is awesome and I'm glad a resource like this is in our community. Further shout out to the manager -- when I was there, she was handling an elderly lady who was talking to everyone in the lobby, two ladies inquiring about adoption, a man bringing in a small puppy and redirecting him to the proper shelter, and then me and my son. She did this all with a SMILE on her face and with grace. She may not know it, but she is excellent with people and I commend her on her patience. Overall, I had the best experience. For anyone looking to foster or adopt, I would call first to chat about their specific shelter before going in. I learned that they do have some parameters they must follow when allowing animals in AND allowing them out. Oh!! And they are building a new building to help make space for more pups and kitties! Thanks SPCA! 10/10 Highly recommend.
