Cedar Pointe Health and Wellness Center

My sister was recently sent to Cedar Pointe for 10 days after her hospital stay and I cannot say enough good things about the facility. She was so weak and down when she went in but the atmosphere was so positive and every person we met was so upbeat and helpful she was her old self at the end of her stay. They really took great care of her.

My mother stayed at Cedar Pointe for a little over a month this summer. Everyone we interacted with, from the nurses' aides to the therapists, to the administrative staff, was supportive and caring. Mom thought the food was pretty good, and the room was clean and bright. Her therapists got her strong enough to go back to her assisted living facility safely. I hope we don't need a rehab facility again, but if we do, I would be happy to have Mom back on the same wing at Cedar Pointe, where we know everyone by name, and they call her "Mama."

August 13, 2026 My husband had a severe stroke in December of 2025 and during the last 7 months we have been in and out of the hospital and several facilities. There are many things wrong with the facilities as a whole but, there are definitely some good ones and good people if you can find them. Rather than talk about the bad ones, I’d rather focus on a good one. We were fortunate to come to Cedar Pointe Health and Wellness at a time when we were frustrated with the system and with some of the staff working in them. Beth Carmean is the Admissions Director at Cedar Pointe Health & Wellness Center and she was our first point of contact. She was a breath of fresh air after what we had been experiencing. She has gone above and beyond to help my husband and to make him settle into his new realty. Josh Lewis, the Administrator in Training, was the second one to go above and beyond for my husband. He is always supportive and listens with a sympathetic ear. He too, has made my husband feel heard and supported. The physical, occupational and speech therapists have been pretty amazing, no matter the facility. They are for the most part, the one constant, no matter where you go. That being said, the nurses, aides and sometimes management, should find a different profession. They seem to lack the caring and compassion for the patients and/or residents that should be a requirement. Cedar Pointe for the most part, have a better group than we have encountered. When issues arise, they try and address them and correct the problem. Of course, there will always be some that should move on but, I would like to call out a few that on a daily basis, go above and beyond. One of my husband’s aide or CNA, Claudia is one of those that on a daily basis goes above and beyond. Steve in physical therapy and Jonathan in occupational therapy should also be mentioned. When your life takes a big hit and your realty is turned upside down, not just for you but, your family - support, compassion and understanding is so welcomed and appreciated. My husband and I fully recommend Cedar Pointe Health & Wellness should you or your loved one need it. We will forever be grateful for them. Thank you, The Becker’s

My father suffered a stroke Nov 2023. We stayed at Cedar Pointe for 100 days and my family is so grateful to the care providers there. Not only is the facility clean and beautiful, but the staff is also friendly and makes you feel welcome. My father is incontinent, and I would say it is extremely important to have family onsite with your loved one day and night. -the care techs do their best, but it is very important to ensure they are changed as quickly as possible. I'm worried I will leave someone out, but special thanks to: Beth Carmean-Admission Coordinator-Thank you so much for getting us into Cedar Pointe. Haiyan Liu- The very best Geriatric Specialist-We would have been lost without you. Therapists- Steve, Devon, Brittany, Shika- You all went out of your way to help Dad and Mom. Because of you, the transition from skilled nursing to bringing Dad home was much easier, we will never forget you. Nurses- Misty, Mila, Debra-This was a scary time and you all made it better-thank you for the training and support you gave Mom so she could bring Dad back home safely. Caretech-Sylvia-We miss you!, Faith, Grace- You all cared for my Dad like he was part of your family, thank you. Meds- Keesee-You have a kind heart, thank you for caring for our family.

Cedar Pointe is my home, a home with a huge family. I cannot praise this place enough. Everyone here is cheerful, they don't act rushed and they actually take time to talk to you. The only sound you hear in the hallway is laughter or singing, Tiffany is a great singer. The gym is huge and bright, the therapists really go above and beyond. I have a door in my room going out to the large courtyard. The place is clean and never smells. David, the activities director does an excellent job of keeping the activity calendar full, including live music concerts. They also have monthly administrators/patients meetings to hear any suggestions, address any problems, etc... and they actually follow through. Medicare has given them a 5 out of 5 stars, I would give them 20 ! I was anxious about going to a nursing home, but I truly felt at home the first day. Oh yeah the food is great !

Over the last 4 months both of our parents have needed skilled nursing care and rehab. We have been so pleased with the care they have received at Cedar Pointe. The staff on the 200 hall (Carl, Alma and everyone else) and the rehab staff (Brandon, Steven, Emily) treated our parents with such kindness and respect. We wish we could give you 10 stars!
