What you'll do
- As the Senior Administrative Assistant for Finance, you’ll take on a blend of high-level administrative support, cross-department coordination, and project assistance. You will:
- Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for internal staff, executive leadership, City Council offices, vendors, and members of the public
- Manage phones, email, mail, and web-based inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Organize and maintain digital and physical documents, including scanning, filing, data entry, and reconciliation to ensure information accuracy
- Support Finance operations by coordinating meetings, trainings, events, travel arrangements, and department calendars
- Draft and prepare letters, memos, presentations, reports, forms, and official correspondence
- Assist in researching, compiling, analyzing, and preparing finance-related reports and documentation
- Submit and track IT and facility work tickets for the department
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years of clerical or administrative support experience in a professional environment
- College credit may substitute on a year-for-year basis
- Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience supporting executive leadership or working in financial or municipal environments
