Financial Services Consultant Teller Personal Banker Part TimeJob Type Part Time Exemption Type Non Exempt Wage Amount 1950 hourly minimum The primary purpose of the Financial Services Consultant I is to create an enjoyable memorable and impactful experience through the delivery of exceptional member service while building strong long term financial relationships and striving to positively impact members with each interaction In accordance with established policies and procedures the Financial Services Consultant I will engage in consultative conversations with members identify their financial needs and recommend valuable solutions to improve their financial well being and quality of life This entry level position is a great way to start your financial services careerMember Consultation Engage in meaningful consultative conversations uncovering members needs and recommend products and services to improve their financial livesEmbody sincere empathy and display a deep passion for helping members achieve their financial goalsAssist members and prospective members with openingclosing deposit products and servicesRecommend lending productsservices and assist members with loan applications through video lending or refer to a branch lenderIdentify and refer investment opportunities to A Wealth ManagementFinancial Transactions Process financial transactions and service requestsOperate maintain and balance a cash drawerAssist members with disputes and fraudulent transactionsPerform updates to members accounts including but not limited to ownership changes addingremoving beneficiaries changes of address etcAssist members with Safe Deposit Box entry where applicableBranch Support Meet or exceed goals to support branch growth and the overall member experiencePerform or assist with vault teller

What you'll do
- balancing buysells and cash recycler managementAssist with the loading of ATMs where applicablePerform or assist with daily branch tasks including but not limited to openingclosing duties prepare outgoing currency shipment etcParticipate in branch meetings and trainingsAssist other branch locations as neededMaintain knowledge of credit union productsservices and policiesproceduresAll other duties as assignedCommunity and Business Development Volunteer to participate in business development and community eventsRepresent the AFCU brand and mission within the communities we serve; observe the highest standards of professionalism at all timesDeepen relationships at communitybusiness development events by recommending AFCU products and servicesCompliance Adhere to all AFCU policies and proceduresMaintain adherence and compliance to all laws rules regulations and internal controlsComplete required regulatory training as assignedEducation and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredSix months work experience required personal banker sales andor teller experience preferredKnowledge Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to demonstrate empathy compassion and understanding of othersDemonstrate and utilize professional communication skills both written and verbalStrong attention to detail and ability to follow through on assigned tasksAbility to work independently and as part of a team with the flexibility to adapt to changeStrong time management and organizational skillsBasic knowledge of mathcomputer skillsMicrosoft Office Suite product knowledge preferredMust have the ability to travel between branch locations as assigned Floater branch at least 25 of the timeNon Floater branch at least 5 of the timePhysical
