I love the equipment. I’ve been to multiple gyms over 30 years of lifting and this gym is my favorite. I mentioned to the owner about another type of pull down bar and on the spot he looked for one online, made sure it was what I wanted and ordered it immediately. That’s someone that cares about their business. Thank you so much.
So far, I am loving this place. Friendly environment, everyone seems to mind their own business, and the equipment is well maintained.
If you're looking for a grungy gym that is always way too busy, has worn down equipment, and gross people... THEN THIS IS NOT THE GYM FOR YOU. Transferred from my gym in Georgetown 5 months ago, because this is easier on my commute, and I could not be happier. Everything is always clean (which is huge for me) - I shower and get ready here every morning before work. The shower gel, q-tips, and mouthwash in the bathroom is always stocked. Staff is great and equipment is top notch.
I previously had a membership to the original Iron Plate down on Crystal Falls, which was already a great gym. This second location took all of the good things about that original gym and pushed them further. For less than local competitors in the gym space (recently received a quote of $70/mo for an Anytime fitness down the road with a 1-year commitment required, woof) you get more of everything that you could need from this place - machines, free weights, cardio, etc. Jason included some unique stuff that you won't see in other gyms in the area as well - a quality prowler sled, a powerlifting area with calibrated Rogue kg plates, deadlift platforms, a competition bench set-up and both a power bar and multiple deadlift bars, and several unique recovery tools like an infrared sauna, cold plunge, etc. The only thing I'd change is putting one of the Rogue squat racks they have closer to the area with calibrated plates, like the original Iron Plate does. If you're training your squat for a powerlifting meet at the Liberty Hill location you'll have to lug those calibrated plates across the gym. But that's a niche complaint so no stars off here. Unless you need child care, this is the gym for you in Liberty Hill.
Cool gym with nice equipment and a fairly priced membership.
Been to gyms all over the country and this is the cleanest one I've ever been to. Everyone re-racks their weights, all machines are wiped down after every use. Tons of high end equipment, many machines I've never seen anywhere else. I can always get a squat rack or bench. Good deadlift station with the rogue assist to make weight loading easy. The vibe in general is great... you don't have content creators acting like clowns with video crews and the morning crowd for me is full of good guys and gals just trying to better themselves. Encouraging environment. Easy to find a helpful spot if you need one for a heavy set. My only issue is everyone is cool and I probably talk too much but that's on me ... I've made some good friends & business connections here.
Me and my mom love this gym. It’s always clean, great equipment, friendly staff, and an amazing atmosphere. Definitely way better than the other gym in LH. I cannot express how clean this gym always is the staff is always cleaning.
As a personal trainer in the area I absolutely love there is a gym here that is clean, the people are amazing, bathrooms are always clean, the Owner Jason is often here and if you need anything he’s quick to get things for the gym that’s needed. Best bodybuilding gym in Liberty Hill that’s been here in a long time.
Been going to this gym for about 6 months. I love the culture and the options that this place offers. The sauna and the ice bath are my favorite!!!!! Thanks Iron Plate for the hospitality and support.
