Not helpful at all
It is so nice to have a hometown feel in a hardware store. Basic needs met in a small store with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Rare these days.
I had gone in to get a copy of our house key for my daughter, very helpful and very polite. There was a young man who very graciously gave me the time to fix an error that was going on with my card, and there was a shift change during my waiting time. No one was rude during my weight and while I was waiting in the parking lot trying to fix my cards error, when I returned back in it was a lovely lady who helped me and signed me up for the rewards program with them and ended up giving me a discount off my key. They all went out of their way to assist me and I was very appreciative.
Always great customer service. The folks that run the nursery carry a great variety and pricing is reasonable. Credit to Ace for my beautiful pots and palms.
Best place in Georgetown to go for plants 🪴 & flowers 💐.
Great team members. They have what I always need.
Great local spot. Always clean, staff is friendly and actually helpful, and the service is consistently good. One of the better places in the area and I keep coming back.
Super customer service
I came into this store yesterday around 4:30 PM to buy a pellet grill. I had just moved to the area and had never been to this location before. When I walked in with my wife, a young man at the door greeted us and asked if we needed help finding anything. I said yes and asked where the pellet grills were. He replied, “Pellet grills? Yeah, over there,” and pointed to the right. For reference, I’m a very tall guy wearing a bright blue Travis Mills Foundation hoodie, and I was with my wife. If management wants to review the cameras from around that time, you’ll easily see what happened next. We went over to the grill section because I was specifically there to buy a new smoker. I initially had my eye on the Traeger Ironwood, but while we were back there looking I noticed a couple other models that interested me, like main differences between the ironwood and the ironwood pro. My wife and I spent about 20 minutes looking at the grills. During that entire time, no one came back to help us. No one checked in, introduced themselves, or asked if we had any questions. Even the employee who greeted us at the door never followed up or mentioned something simple like, “If you need anything, I’ll be right up front.” After about 20 minutes of being completely ignored, we decided to leave. On the way out, there were at least three employees standing near the front talking. They told us to “have a good day” and commented that we had a cute dog, but no one asked if we found what we were looking for or if we needed help with anything. When I got into my truck (parked in the handicap spot), several employees stood at the window just watching while opened the door for my wife and sat there searching on Google for another place to buy a grill. Which was weird because the help, but then they stood at the door staring at us. I accustomed to shopping at Ace Hardware all the time when I lived in Maine, specifically because of the friendly and helpful customer service. Unfortunately, this experience was the complete opposite. I felt unwelcome and ignored the entire time I was in the store. I’m not going to spend over $2,000 on a grill somewhere that no one seems interested in helping me. I had questions about it differences between model but we came in there to buy. And had anybody helped me or given me any kind of attention. I would’ve bought my grill from you. If I’m going to get that level of service, I can just order it online for the same price — probably cheaper with my disabled veteran discount. I wish you the best with your business, but I won’t be back. One of the main reasons I choose Ace Hardware is for the personal, in the past is for helpful experience. Leaving a customer standing in the grill section for 20 minutes without a single employee checking on them — especially while multiple employees are standing around near the front — sends a pretty clear message that my business isn’t important. And if that’s the case, I’ll gladly spend my money somewhere else.
Helpful business but limited knowledge of their product line and their differences. Still I greatly appreciate the friendly atmosphere.
