Absolutely love the new team behind the bistro menu. The turkey burger is delicious, so perfect. The lemonade with rose water is both delicious and beautiful. No one asked me, so I guess I’ll just say it. There are too many tables in the dining area. I imagine that two tables can be moved out and there would be some physical space for folks to move around without bumping into other people as they sit at the tables or tripping over chairs. I doubt that every one of these tables gets used, even on the busiest days. It’s very stuffy and looks like storage. Give us some room to move around in.

713 from neighborsWe love to visit bookstores so we decided make a drive up to Georgetown from Austin to check out Lark & Owl. I would call it more “books & gifts” than just a bookstore. As other reviewers have stated, their selection of books is a little on the small side, but there is a nice variety. They also sell used books! There are shelves mixed in with used books, so look for those signs. It was a little unclear at times which were used and which were new, but there is also a nook in the back of the store with all used. We happened to come on the Saturday of the Austin Book Trail and were given a map of other participating bookstores and suggestions of places to go in Cedar Park on our way back home, which was so nice!
Darling little bookshop in a darling little Texas town.
Best little bookshop around. Efficiently run, wonderful author events with folks like Ali Hazelwood, lovely little cafe with delicious food. The nicest people work here. 10 out of 10 recommend.
A fantastic local bookstore with incredible store staff who know all the things they need to know to give you some wonderful suggestions. You can get ARCs for free, sip a latte, find some delicious scents in their apothecary shops and unload your used books for them to carry! My new favorite place and it should be yours, too - local shops need our support!
Very lovely.
Decidedly leftist, with a feminist chip on its shoulder, which limits what is available on the shelves.
We drove in from Houston for the Kindred Characters launch event, and it was totally worth it! The staff is so welcoming. The cafe has awesome drinks. They’ve got a great selection of books and a ton of community events.
Lovely bookstore with gently used and new books, local artisan goods, cafe, and plenty of seating and windows. Great place to study, hang out with friends, find a gift, or grab a meal or snack.
Beware: At first glance, this is a very trendy, cute bookstore with cafe. However, the children’s section is very polarizing. Clearly very woke. Every book with the exception of a few have an agenda (very left). Just looking for clsssic children’s fables or superhero books (look elsewhere). Also very overpriced. Had high hopes but will not return.
