amazing staff always just great service!!!
I really wish they had dogs only in their name. You would think all vet clinics take care of both common household animals (cats and dogs) but sadly that is not the case. I tried taking a sick kitten this morning, was in a rush to find the nearest vet clinic and was turned away because they do not cater to cats. We sadly lost the kitten not to long after being turned away.
The team at the Hutto Vet Clinic is so welcoming, thorough and patient. We have been coming here for years and always receive the best care! They are professional and courteous and provide exceptional customer service!
Care is great. Up front staff are courteous, nice people. The two Vets are very professional and caring. Pricing is very reasonable.
I’m writing this review after a very difficult experience with Hutto Vet Clinic following my 10-year-old dog Bandi’s recent diabetes diagnosis. A diabetes diagnosis is life-changing and requires close guidance, education, and follow-up. While the veterinarian who diagnosed Bandi had a friendly bedside manner, I experienced repeated gaps in communication and follow-up that left me feeling unsupported during a critical time. For example, I was told a new food would be recommended, but despite asking multiple times, that information was never sent. I was also told the only insulin option was Vetsulin, which is costly and sold in-house. When I asked about an alternative (NPH insulin), staff initially said they did not recommend it. Nearly five days later, I received a voicemail stating that NPH was in fact a good and affordable option. By that point, I had already been forced to navigate this on my own. Two weeks later, Bandi was hospitalized in an emergency clinic with severe pancreatitis. When I contacted Hutto Vet Clinic to see if her care could be coordinated to reduce costs, I was advised to remain at the ER. After her discharge, no one from the clinic followed up to check on her condition or requested records from the emergency hospital, despite being informed that she had been critically ill and unable to attend a scheduled glucose curve. Additionally, urgent appointments were consistently unavailable, which is extremely challenging when managing a complex, unstable condition like diabetes. I was also never informed about at-home glucose monitoring, which could have saved significant expense and stress. I have since established care with a different veterinary clinic, and the contrast in communication, empathy, and support has been striking. This review is not meant to question medical competence, but rather to highlight a lack of follow-up, education, and empathy during a very vulnerable time. If your pet has a chronic or complex condition that may require urgent attention and close management, I would recommend considering whether this clinic is the right fit for you. Below is a text that shows how my sweet Bandi wasn’t actually really “cared” for in the first place… not one “How is she?” or “How can we make this right?”
Knowledgeable, caring, conscientious vets with wonderful communication skills. Excellent follow up, much appreciated.
Very efficient and thorough. Genuinely cared for my old mutt.
We love Dr. Brandon and the staff. Always very friendly and takes time to answer your quesions.
I appreciate the care my pet receives at Hutto Veteranary Clinic. Everyone is caring and helpful. My only complaint is that we always have to wait 30-40 minutes for the vet.
HUTTO vet clinic is amazing. They go above and beyond with every visit. The staff is nice and understanding and really make you feel seen and heard. Dr. Pratt is superb. She listens and understands. It feels more like having an expert friend than talking to a doctor. The way she takes time to explain issues and options has a way of making terrible health issues feel approachable. They have taken care of all of my pets since I moved here, and I could not be happier.
