I just had Cool Ray out to run some wiring and install a junction box for my indoor sauna. I hired Cool Ray Electric to install a NEMA outlet for my EV on June 30, along with paying for the required permit and inspection. The installation had some issues, including the technician forgetting materials and cutting a hole in the drywall in the wrong location, which left damage that wasn’t repaired. I also had to follow up several times regarding the permit and inspection, which took much longer than expected. The inspection eventually passed, and Marty mentioned he knew someone who could repair the drywall, but I never heard any follow-up on that after the inspector came. The work functions as intended, but the delays, miscommunication, and unresolved drywall damage made the overall experience disappointing.
Cool Ray was very easy to work with! We had a bad breaker that they diagnosed and repaired in the same visit at no additional cost (manufacturer recall), and gave us peace of mind for a few anxious-new-homeowner concerns about what ended up to be user error overloading circuits with (not so) small kitchen appliances, haha. They were able to test the outlets to confirm they worked as expected and suggest which outlets we could use (and which would likely trip) simultaneously. Very knowledgeable and friendly team, highly recommend!
