We've dined at Urban for years and enjoyed it, but we went last night and food was not very good. The achiote pork chops weren't very good (I believe they used to be different... the menu changed)--I didn't care for the seasoning and they were overcooked. Others at my table had overcooked chicken (the simply grilled chicken), and nearly raw tenderloin (a person who likes his steak medium rare was unsure he should eat it).
As usual the drinks were very good--kudos to the bartender. But we'll be hesitant to come back unless we have reason to think the food will be better. And the ribeye was gone from the menu, too, which I wasn't happy about.
Used to come here all the time. The last two times we went in 2023 it was terrible. No one came to the host stand and another time it was such poor service. We decided to give it another chance this week since we thought for sure it had gotten better after two years. Nope! Three people behind us walked out, we almost did, we got seated and then had a sarcastic, unfriendly server. After waiting for way too long for our food, we walked right out. Time for them to leave and make way for a restaurant that can handle guests and doesn’t treat them as an inconvenience or an afterthought.
Walked out. Terrible. This place has gone way downhill.

Had dinner here with dear friends. Urban Eats is always great, and tonight did not disappoint, either. The food was great, and our Veg friend enjoyed it also. Service was great, too. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Very good food, satisfying portions.
My first time going and decided to do brunch. I had the traditional breakfast with the Full Monte, another guest had the pork chop which I could see was fried way too hard and so was the chicken and waffle. I like crispy chicken but this was too crispy which made it seem dry. Overall nice atmosphere and service. Plenty of seating indoors and outside. They do have adult beverages but I'll have to try another day.

My friends recently had a really upsetting experience at URBAN Eat.Drink. They waited patiently to be seated, but no one ever came to help them. When they tried to group some tables together for their party on their own, a manager confronted them in a rude and disrespectful way.. right in front of everyone…it left them feeling embarrassed and completely unwelcome. And how was this resolved? They were basically kicked out.
This is especially disheartening because Blake and Allison Notgrass built this restaurant to be a warm, welcoming place for the community. Many of us grew up in Round Rock and have a real connection to this place. What happened today goes against everything this restaurant is supposed to stand for.
I’m sharing this not to tear anyone down, but so others know what to expect and so the restaurant has a genuine opportunity to do better. Unfortunately, based on how this situation was handled, particularly by someone in a management role…it’s hard to feel confident that things will change. The community deserves better, and so do your guests.
PLEASE READ. BE AWARE. April 6, 2026 at 1:30pm- Manager in charged was super rude and humiliated my family in front of everyone in the restaurant. Was waiting for a good while in the waiting area for staff to sit us down and since no one approached us, we walked in and sat ourselves at a available table. Thats when the manager flipped out and started screaming at my family in front of the entire restaurant. She must have been stressed because they looked like they were understaffed but that is no way to treat a human being period. She basically kicked us out, but im glad we left because I wouldve worried for her to do something to our food. If you wanna be yelled at and humiliated, this is your place
