We finally got around to a full interior renovation after 20 years of living in our 80’s home. We needed a new kitchen, new bathrooms, new floors, the walls retextured, getting rid of the acoustic texture on the ceiling and painting it all. For such a big job, how do you decide who to use and who you can trust to do a good job? I’d had a large remodel done for my parents a few years ago and it did not go smoothly with the contractor I’d hired, so I wanted to avoid repeating that experience at all costs. My cousin is an engineer and he works for multiple GC’s so we asked for some recommendations. One of the companies was TRS Build, so we did a little research on the company, contacted them and set up a meeting. Not long after that we had Annemarie Diaz and Jenny Machado in our home showing us what TRS could do for us. They are both very warm and friendly people who were a delight to work with. Very professional, knowledgeable and efficient, respecting our time and budget. One of the things we loved about TRS is their overall competency. For example, when Jenny is showing us her 3d renderings of our plan with all the changes and we’re thinking out loud, “Hmm, what would it look like with another two feet of island?” Jenny extended it ‘live’ with the software on her laptop and we could instantly see what we were thinking of as though it was that way from the start. It’s not just that software these days has this ability, so much as the experience the user has with it. Jenny was always able to provide fast renderings of ideas, changes and solutions needed that helped us visualize things and make difficult decisions much more easily. Jenny also provided excellent design advice and color combinations that we might not have considered but that we now love. This saved us a lot of time and stress. Since it was a whole house renovation, we needed to move out, but luckily for us we were able to stay across the street with family. This allowed us to check on progress almost daily. Probably kind of a pain for them to have me poking my nose in all the time but handy for us! Having said that, I can say that their subcontractors are professional, friendly, competent and trustworthy guys. They’ve got some hard working, conscientious crews that did nice work and we felt comfortable with them working in our home. Did everything go perfectly and to plan? Not everything, but you’re never going to have a perfect remodel with a 40 year old home renovation. A few miscommunications, some code updates and things we just didn’t think of came up along the way. However, TRS was always calm and reasonable to deal with and most importantly would quickly come up with solutions to unforeseen problems when they arose. We ended up with a ‘new’ home that looks great, has all the changes we wanted and was turned over on time and budget. They care about doing the job right, listen to what you say and are responsive and that takes a lot of the stress out of the remodeling process. We would and have already recommended TRS Build.

Over the last ten years we have worked with TRS Build on several projects, from a small bathroom remodel to a whole home renovation and addition, and we have never been disappointed. Through the years we have seen them grow with new systems and tools, and what has remained consistent is their focus on quality and communication, as well as their dedication to our satisfaction. Whenever any issues came up they were collaborative and creative in finding solutions. More than just providing beautiful designs and quality construction, they are knowledgeable advisors who listen and provide support to meet your goals within budget. They even manage to make the process a little fun along the way! I would highly recommend TRS for any project, large or small.
We had a great experience working with TRS Build team and are very happy with the final outcome. This was a large and complex whole home remodel that involved reconfiguring existing spaces, adding new square footage, and preserving the original charm of the home. We chose TRS Build primarily because of Annemarie. She was warm, clear, and very thorough in her follow-ups from the start, which gave us confidence in moving forward with them. We enjoyed working with architect Jenny. She took the time to truly understand our needs and brought forward thoughtful design options, which helped us feel confident and aligned throughout the process. Given the scale of the project, there were understandably some challenges along the way, including communication gaps during project manager transitions and switching to a new communication tool. However, what stood out was the team’s responsiveness and accountability, whenever we raised concerns, they listened carefully and took prompt action to address them. The construction crew was excellent, professional, hardworking, and a genuine pleasure to work with. As unexpected challenges arose, the team worked collaboratively with us to find effective solutions. Remodeling at this level is never easy, but the team demonstrated flexibility, dedication, and a strong commitment from start to finish, ultimately delivering the project on time. :) We would confidently recommend TRS Build.
We had a fantastic experience working with TRS Build on our remodel, which included our kitchen, two bathrooms, and converting an open living room into an office. From start to finish, the team was communicative, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We especially loved working with their designer and being able to see the design ideas brought to life in full 3D renderings—it made the process so much easier and exciting. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness they put into our project really showed, and the end result exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend TRS Build to anyone looking for a reliable, creative, and professional team for their remodel.
TRS remodeled my kitchen/dining in 2021. The project was seamless with all their workmen very professional and timely. Since then, I have had 2 small projects which I feared were too small for TRS to take on but they provided the same excellent service for those projects (outside door installations, popcorn removal and bathroom light replacement) as for the kitchen remodel. I had several companies bid on the popcorn/bathroom project and all agreed to provide the requested services with no suggested changes. When I told TRS what I had in mind, Shaniko immediately suggested a much more aesthetically pleasing plan and knew what additions needed to be made to meet Code. Again, the workmen were very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend TRS for big and small projects.
We were so pleased with the TRS team in 2023 when we decided to renovate our boys’ bathroom, that we decided to partner with them again this year for our master bath renovation. We were again impressed by their organization, friendliness, and expertise. They listened to our needs, while adding additional thoughts and ideas. Irama was an excellent project manager again throughout the entire project. The entire crew were polite and hard working, doing a great quality job and within the timeline they promised. We highly recommend TRS!
