I have had such a great experience with the Summit since I moved in last May. Their amenities were unmatched--24hr gym access and the HUGE, beautiful pool were the selling points for me. I even stretched my budget and opted for the larger 1 bedroom floor plan and longer lease term because I was confident this was where I'd be planting my roots for at least a couple years. I spent nearly every weekend last summer sunbathing and swimming--our pool was the envy of my relatives in the area! Unfortunately, in January all Summit residents were sent an email informing us that we now had restricted access to the clubhouse and gym, and NO ACCESS to the pool whatsoever. I've had such a great experience with the staff here, but this has me feeling baited and switched. No offer was made to reduce the cost of the almost $2k per month I pay in rent for my *single bedroom unit*, only a vague promise to offer more events for Summit residents (that, to date, has still not happened). I truly, truly hope some remediation could be made to address this for Summit residents. An apartment complex in Texas without a pool doesn't stand a chance for long term occupancy. For now, its the gym and pool--what do we lose next?
