884 from neighborsThis is a great place for watching sports and hanging out. The service is great and the food is good as far as bar food goes.
First and last time here. Had to send my food back and remake. Our waiter wasn't around..we we're outside. So I had to carry my own food in and have it remade. Not a pleasant experience.
I had the honor of attending the ribbon cutting for The Rock Sports Bar with the Round Rock Chamber to celebrate their new location, and what stood out immediately wasn’t just the space. It was the people. So many folks I spoke with called this their spot. Not casually. Proudly. They talked about friendships built here over the years. Regulars who know each other’s names. More than one person called it their local “Cheers,” and that felt earned, not cute. The new location is a real upgrade. They built out a full commercial kitchen and it shows. The food coming out was tasty and thoughtfully done, and they’ve been rolling out community-focused specials that actually feel like a thank-you, not a gimmick. Plenty of TVs for sports, a welcoming outdoor area where families were hanging out, and a staff that was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the place. This isn’t just a sports bar. It’s a neighborhood anchor. And those don’t happen by accident.
Excellent all around! Nice place, good food, and great people. Shawn and Sergio were a top notch combo in their service. Kids had chicken tenders and tots. Wife had tex Mexican potatoe, and I had taco salad.
The new location is much bigger, nicer restrooms, and great location to watch football! Parking lot across the street helps you park close to the location.
Granddaughter had a basketball game in the area and when it finished we all wanted something to eat and watch UT girls on the tv. The Rock was close by. We had the fajita salad. It was just ok but very small. Hotdog with sweet potato fries and it got an a+ rating. And a club sandwich which u was a little dry but good. They have tons of TV’s to watch and GREAT outside seating. An NFL playoff game was on and the noise level was really really loud! Too loud. Service was good since few people were eating but mostly drinking. It is located in old downtown Round Rock at a beautiful spot. You can tell that this is a local watering hole filled with local clientele. Not sure we would ever consider going back but it was good.
It’s Sunday football. They only have 2 people to make drinks and take orders. Don’t expect fast service. But the employees were very good under the circumstances. They were kind and worked as hard as they could. They weren’t the issue. Management made the choice to understaff.
At new location service is fast snd atmosphere is great
No outside servers and one bartender during noon football games. Spend your Sunday at a better staffed establishment.
