I had a few heart rate readings that were showing greater than 200 beats per minute. I was concerned so I went to the urgent care to have them do a quick pulse check. They went to take my pulse and then some grumpy woman in the back of the building told them not to do anything until I used my phone to scan a QR code, and filling out a bunch of information. Here I am potentially having a medical emergency and they refused to render aid. Putting aside I have a hatred of the customer onboarding themselves at business that I'm paying, but their nonchalant attitude was dehumanizing. I just walked out, because this experience was making me even more stressed out, compounding my stress already of potentially having a high heart rate sustained. In the end I went to HEB and used their free machine that showed my heart rate was fine. Then I came home and used my oxygen finger sensor which said the same. But they didn't know that. Someone might walk in and be having a medical emergency for real and as they are forced to fill out paperwork they may collapse on the office floor and MedClinic will be sued for failure to render aid. Horrible.
