Please run if you can!!! If you have a choice to choose a different provider please do so! They have no grace period and zero understanding. Literally the worst light company you can have! They’re ready to disconnect for being a few days late. Yeah you can set up an arrangement but still. And if you set up a payment arrangement and happen to forget about making the payment and pay it one minute after midnight they will still disconnect you! The only light company I’ve ever had that doesn’t have a grace period. Then when they disconnect they charge an expensive reconnect fee and whether you paid a deposit or not they will charge you a deposit as well. Literally highway robbery.

92 from neighborsI’m incredibly frustrated with the way PEC manages its rates and "Time-of-Use" schedules. As a member-owner, it’s nearly impossible to plan home efficiency projects or budget effectively when the Cooperative constantly shifts the peak windows. Every time we adjust our lifestyle to fit their "saving" guidelines, they move the finish line. It feels less like grid management and more like a strategy to minimize the actual savings members can achieve. The billing transparency is also non-existent. We were forced to pay surcharges for winter storm recovery from events that happened before we even lived in this service area. Now, they’ve conveniently "replaced" those surcharges with higher base rates and increased the 2025 base power connection charge. It’s a predatory structure that penalizes people for simply being connected to the grid, regardless of how much energy they save. PEC needs to stop the shady accounting and provide the rate stability and transparency that a member-owned co-op should provide.
I have never paid so much with any electricity company in my life than I have here. On the website, ever since I first signed up for this service, I've never been "eligible" to enroll in budget billing. Even when I didn't have a balance. I'm almost always working and away from home, the AC along with everything else is turned off throughout the day. My bill is typically $200-$300 a month for a single person apartment... WHY ?!
Their pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Had my heat on for 9 days and my bill jumped over $150!!! Seriously? They rob people!
Cut off our power because it was attached to a business account, the hell does it matter where it comes from as long as you get paid. Sorry excuse of a company.
Been an overpriced monopoly for ever. NOW PAYING THE BILL IS A PAIN. Requires a pin and doesnt save previous payment methods. DONT KNOW WHY??!!! I pay all my bills on line. I don’t have to repeat this process for any except the overpriced PEC.
They have been supper kind to me so far
Got my bill this month and found I was charged more in FEES than actual usage. What a joke. And of course it’s the only company I can use. Nearly $60 in fees Each month I can’t wait to move.
The power constantly goes out, even with slight drizzles. It's absolutely ridiculous; they rival California when it comes to power outages. I have to reset all my appliances about 20 times a week. If I could give fewer stars, I would. In fact, I would take away the few they have. Can I have half of my money back sense I only have power half the month?
Fees are out of control. As a landlord that needed electric for 1 week to do repairs on the house in between tenants had to pay $50 to connect and $50 to disconnect in addition to the regular rates. No other utility company charges that much. Hard to believe there hasn't been a class action lawsuit against them.
