Wonderful staff that actually takes time to listen . Everyone so friendly Sheena at front desk and Dr Miller are awesome. Been to several of the local vets/ animal hospitals and Patriot is far better in all areas.
We take both of our golden retrievers here, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about this office. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They remember your pets and make you feel like more than just another appointment on the schedule. The veterinarians and techs are incredibly thorough, take the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand, and never make you feel rushed or dismissed. We’ve had everything from routine visits to more stressful concerns, and in every situation, they’ve been compassionate, patient, and proactive. If you’re looking for a vet office that combines professionalism with genuine heart, this is the place.

"I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite veterinarian on the Citadel." (IYKYK) I had been put off by my previous vet in the area and was looking for another place for my furbaby. After some research, I found that Patriot had a lot of very good feedback so I decided to try them for an annual examination for my dog. Well, I want to say that I was very happy with my visit, and very happy to have found a new very that I like, and more importantly, my dog likes!! I know everyone is curious about pricing info and I want to say they were definitely comparable to others in the area, there was no sticker shock, just "as expected" pricing which was nice. They also showed me pricing up front, which was very nice, and there was no pressure to get anything else done besides what I went there for. However there were some very good arguments for why some of it should be done, but them being upfront about pricing makes it doable to budget things in for the future if you can't afford it right then and it's not urgent. Bedside manner was so good, loved everyone there - all the techs and Dr Miller were all so great. There's even a little dog park there that I took advantage of since every time we go in the car, my dog expects that we'll be going for a hike or a walk somewhere..... so this was convenient :) So yes, very excited to have found a new vet, I definitely recommend them to anyone who might be looking for one❤️

I was referred to Patriot Animal Hospital by a lifelong friend of the owners, and it is amazingly convenient since they are right across from my neighborhood at Ronald Reagan and Highway 29. After our visit today, I think we have finally found Cosmo’s permanent vet home. The entire staff was great. The receptionist was very kind to Cosmo, and our tech, Everest, was wonderful—he took an instant liking to everyone and stayed comfortable the whole time. I also really enjoyed meeting the owners, Dr. Amy Mathiak and her husband. We had a very good discussion about Cosmo’s severe storm phobia. He’s a rescue from a shelter in Pflugerville, and we believe he was traumatized by being lost and alone outdoors during the heavy April storms before he was found. I’ve tried so many things to help him, including marijuana/CBD chewables and liquids, but those just seemed to make him feel sick. We do use a Thunder vest and earmuffs, but they only provide limited success—maybe taking his stress from a level 10 down to an 8 or 9. Dr. Mathiak really listened to his history and prescribed a medication with clear instructions on how to manage his nerves. We are trying the new plan this weekend with the rains coming in, and I’m hopeful this will be the solution he needs. It is a relief to find a family-owned practice nearby that takes this kind of personal interest in their patients.

Friendly and courteous staff! Vet Tech and Dr. were very patient, caring, and thorough. Did not rush and spent the time needed with our dog to diagnose issues. Great follow-up and communication.
