Unfortunately all the negative reviews have cause me not to join! I was so excited (was even sitting outside to go in) & this is the closest one to me so I’ll reconsider joining. I don’t want troubles - I want a peaceful experience with my 3 kids. I did stop in and the front desk hesitated to say hi to me and looked at each other in confusion on whether or not I could look around this was today 4/30/26. Their attitudes alone turned me off
really wish the locker rooms were bigger and that there were separate restrooms for pool users. Nothing like soggy toilet seat and toilet paper. Other than that the place is decent, a little cramped. Update was 4 star review The recently remodeled and had high hopes. Unfortunately they just did a surface level update for the bathrooms/locker rooms and still very small. Usually not a problem unless a class gets out the same time you need to use the restroom. They took out their bike room and have an entire section of equipment now that you can use unless you pay additional amount of money. Last time I was there the cardio theater was closed which is my favorite part of this Y. Might come back again if the cardio theater got a nice face lift.
Locker rooms we closed for multiple months. Rude staff and completely incompetent billing department. Faced constant harrassment, and superfluous policing when I attended, making my gym going experiences very uncomfortable. Got kicked out for wearing a specific type of weight lifting shoe, as they were deemed Inappropriate despite having closed toe and heels. Gym is very crowded with lack-luster configuration of machines, making navigating gym grounds exceedingly cumbersome. It took 3 month to cancel membership due to in-availability of on-site billing department. I Called multiple times to put a hault on my account until I was availble to cancel in-person and i was continuously billed. Was told over the phone numerous times that my account would be notated witht he intent of cancelation with no inaction of YMCA’s ‘hold’ policy. I would strongly recommend choosing another YMCA or gym completely, as my experience with this particular YMCA has been absolutely dreadful, and I’ve had YMCA memberships for most of my life.
Nice gym, pool and basketball court. Great youth programs.
Great place! We have done their sports and swim lessons and my kids loved them!
I called to cancel my kids membership and I was asked to come in to do that. My question for your management team is why? Everyone send you the termination form by email you sign it and send it back. Why YMCA can’t do that? You should definitely look into your processing requirements and change it for your customers convenience and your business. This is so disappointing. I work from home and have two kids and busy 24/7 why this can’t be done by email or doc-sign? I really hope this issue gets resolved quickly.
The facility is decent. Their business practices….not so much. I cancelled my membership today. Apparently, unlike other places where cancellation is instantaneous, it takes them 5 days to cancel. Since 5 days would end at Oct 2nd, I have to pay for the full month of October. Terrible. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Consider this a paid advertisement….since I’m paying for it…..
I like this gym and the staff. Friendly all around especially the folks in the kids area. Big shout out to them and their program. My daughter will not let me go to any other YMCA because this one is her favorite! Keep it up.
I take my father there for there water activities, we all love it . The wonderful people that work there are extraordinary. I suggest Hutto YMCA to anyone , I really can't thank them enough for their kindness. It's made a big difference in our life's since losing my mother. My father is not depressed because of all the happiness he is surrounded by going there. Y'all are good sent, Thank you!
I love that it has a sauna and the chilwatch there is amazing. Dont have to worry while i work out.
