Didn't have work done. Just talked to them regarding paint job on 60 year old car
Sal has really good customer service, come here for all your autobody needs!
I wanted to share my experience with Excellent Auto Body to help others make an informed decision. I brought my car in on March 25 for a relatively small door ding repair. The initial estimate from Excellent Auto Body was higher than State Farm’s because they said both doors would need to be painted and blended for a proper match. That made sense to me, and they submitted a supplemental claim—but there was no follow-up for about a week. I ultimately had to contact State Farm myself to get things moving. After the supplement was approved, I was told it would still be another week before repairs could begin. The bigger issue came later. One night around 9pm, I received a notification from my vehicle app that the car was being moved. I checked the location and saw it had been taken to a private residence. When I called, the owner told me he had allowed an employee to take the car home and that it would go to the paint booth the next day. This was unexpected and not something I had agreed to. The authorization I signed only mentioned driving the vehicle for testing or inspection—not for overnight use at an employee’s home. When I raised this concern, the response was dismissive, and I was told this was “normal” and that I had agreed to it (which I had not). We requested that the car be returned to the shop, which they did. The following day, I was informed via text they would no longer work on my vehicle because it was “clear I was going to give them a problem.” My car sat on their lot for 2 weeks for a door ding repair and now they wont fix it. The insurance company had already issued payment and had to stop payment on it. Now I must start the process over with another shop. Because of the lack of communication, the delay in handling the insurance supplement, and the situation with the vehicle being taken offsite without clear authorization, I cannot recommend Excellent Auto Body based on my experience.
Had a fender and bumper replaced, and while waiting for parts, Sal reached out to ask if I wanted them to take care of scratches on the other side of the car. Got all fixed. my vehicle looks great and they did the job in less than one week. Another shop needed several weeks per their estimate. Will return to Excellent next time.
This review is strictly for feedback purposes as I always scale any business, specially those considered small business, because thet are supposed to be the gold standard compared to the commercial corner cutters. Deducted a star due to business motto being misleading, plaster on door and website with very little to know realizations that most customers may decide to choose over this. No disclaimer on the parameters of the motto so again misleading and could sway business. Deducted a star due to truck condition. My truck wasn’t the cleanest but it was not filled with leaves and dirt and dust from head to toe. Even though he took $100 dollars off the price, the gas tank was completely empty, and. I dropped it with a half of tank. Not to mention the mileage at drop off doesn’t quite fit the mileage at pick up… on 2/16 took it to take 5 for a oil change. The mileage then was 112,592… I work from home three days out of the week and use my truck two. How did the mileage after 4 weeks cone out to 113,702. Nearly 1,110 mile difference. Also I had some camping stakes in the center dash in a bag they were all outside of the bag thrown around. Also the truck smell horrible… insane. Deducted another star due to the fact issues with USAA insurance, I was told that this business works with USAA but in the process there was no understanding of their process so that again ties into misleading practices, work that took four weeks could have been a 1 to 2 week job with a little better customer service and appreciation. I did go to this business as my truck is getting older, its a 2020, I take good care of it for the condition it is in, but you’d expect a business to do the same but it seems it wasn’t. My truck will be paid off soon and will be kept as a memento of my achievements and I will get another one so this doesn’t reflect on the business’ work only of my customer satisfaction. For what its worth the front bumper does look good for what it’s worth, I do have a guy that will take a second look and will update on that inspection. As the practice from the start has me reluctant to trust any small business in terms of this process in the future. Take your vehicle here if you want to support. As they are a decent business just not to my standards, specially if the motto is not being adhered to

Excellent Auto Body Repair truly lives up to the name. Great availability and hours, came out to check my car, gave me three clear options, and worked with me to find the best solution. The repair was done the very next day, right on time, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely be coming back.
