We have been going to ER Automotive for years now and refer everyone we know to them. I will never bring my cars anywhere else. Eric is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. I wish I could do more for their business than just write a positive review. I can't state this enough, you will not find a better mechanic, service for your vehicle or customer care anywhere else.
We can all agree: auto repair shops are right up there with going to the dentist or the DMV. But ER Automotive is the exception. During a recent winter freeze my wife didn’t know how to engage 4WD on my Tacoma. She switched it into 4L when the car was OFF, then when she restarted the truck every possible warning illuminated and it would not shift out of 4Lo. I took it to Toyota the following day and they stated it would need a new transfer case and actuator, but I never trust dealerships. I called ER and they said I could bring it in for diagnostics for free. The owner, Eric, has taken care of big issues with our other vehicles in the past so I trusted him with this problem as well. Sure enough, it was simply an error code that needed to be reset. Once his completed this there was an audible shimmy that could be heard on the front end of the truck (which I assumed and he confirmed was the 4WD disengaging), all warnings disappeared and I was able to shift into 4WD Hi, Lo, and off again without issue. What could’ve cost thousands of dollars to unnecessarily replace parts ended up being a $65 charge that I insisted on paying. If you want a TRUSTWORTHY mechanic and fair pricing for vehicle service, take your car to ER.
I have been coming to ER automative for 16 years now, ERIC is one of the honest caring considered business owners I think that I’ve ever crossed. Eric has always been honest with me. I have never Felt like as a woman I was being taken advantage of actually the opposite. He’s actually talk me out of things that I didn’t need sing me as a single mom two jobs trying to make ends me. From just a regular oil change even to the point where making accommodations because some screw broke and not wanting to charge me more money going up and beyond I could go on and on and on Eric is Just an amazing human being. And I’ll leave you with this. I was coming to get my car picked it up and Eric was literally walking this older gentleman out to his car opened his door. She didn’t have to do any of that the decency and integrity that Eric has I wish all business owners did. I promise you your car is in good hands if you leave it with Eric and this is not a payday. I can’t say enough good things about Er Automotive. They’re honest, straightforward, and never try to upsell you on work you don’t need. They explain what actually matters, provide great value, and stand behind their work. They’ve done an excellent job helping my wife and I keep our vehicles running well so they last a long time. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust — this is one of them. For anything beyond an oil change, I would not take our vehicles anywhere else!!
My SUV is basically my home as i am 80/20 nomadic. So when my 2016 Durango decided to stop starting, I felt my heart stop. Long, short John with ER Automative was definitely a blessing and got my SUV back up and working beautifully at an EXTREMELY fair price. I've found a trustworthy mechanic in the Austin area. 🙏

Eric, Nicky, and Megan are the best! They've helped me out of a pickle twice now and have always done a great job. They communicate promptly and try to get the work done as soon as they can. Definitely recommend!
