The staff didn't even have a manager. Just an acting manager that obviously need to find a new line of work. April, 9, 2026. Getting a delivery to the store the driver from Warner trucking. Parked and backed into a situation where customers could not leave the store for fear of jumping a curb, hitting another vehicle/other cars or backing into the semi. When approached with the sicurmstance, trucker and dollar general employee simply responded with ridicule and laughter directly in the customers face.

Very horrible experience. Visited today 2/7 I went in 30 minutes before closing because I totally forgot coupons expire today so I quickly got what I needed and tried asking for help with some items that said were in stock but no where to be seen he “I don’t know our website is weird and not accurate and we do close soon” I went back looked one more time and nothing came back to the register and I had my online coupons and some mailed coupons. He scanned my stuff and I saw some coupons not ring up I asked and he said it had to be a specific product so I ran to get the correct one and he let me know you do know we are closed. I told him I was here before yall closed and Litterly just switching out item so I can use my coupon. I proceed to get what I needed & I came back my two toddlers each put a candy in the counter and he slammed the candy on the counter. I asked who was the manager and he said he was I told him he was very rude I too work in customer service and u don’t rush customers out the door and if I’m asking about coupons and items he should be more helpful considering he is a manager. He flipped the screen very aggressively towards me to show me one of my coupons was not applying I asked if he couldn’t manually input & he didn’t seem to want to help. I simply told him I was not purchasing anything because he continued being rude. Mind you this is 4 minutes past closing. I’m walking out with my 2 toddlers and he slammed the glass doors so hard and walked back slammed his register. I was so disgusted by his behavior and will be reporting to corporate. This kind of person should not be working customer service . Very aggressive and rude. ( white male ). Never coming here again.

I go for the convenience. If I cannot find something, I ask a worker. The last time I went, there were 3 people on the floor, they're making strides. I will continue shopping here.

Usually avoid this location, never gives a receipt nor coupons. But for whatever reason there's a pile by the register.

The individuals working here do not pay any mind to the customers. They do not even acknowledge anyone even when checking out. They are extremely rude. I have not had one encounter with any employee at this location that has had great customer service. They talk to each other instead of making sure the customers are taken care of. I will gladly continue going to the location off of West front st in hutto. If you do not care about your job you should not be working there just to ruin customers experience. I've also went to this location and an employee almost hit me with the basket and did not even say excuse me, they just walked right by and started laughing. I really hope that one day this location can withhold great customer service but right now this is something I would report to the BBB.

I see most people are a little too objective about this store it's a dollar store there are certain things you can expect by going to a dollar store. No the company doesn't care about you but what company does these days? The simple truth is you can get in get what you need and get out in 5 minutes if you need to perfect for me. The staff I have conversed with there are always very nice and pleasant to speak with which I think is One of the important things when it concerns buying goods with your money.

Great customer service! Had what we were looking for & accommodated our request re: filling our special birthday balloons with helium. We’ll be back to this location because of the positive interactions with the employees.

No one goes to Dollar General store for the finery and luxury. It's a convenient store when I don't feel like going to the bigger stores that are further away. Be understanding there's a shortage in workers who don't want to do certain jobs. You'll have to work in digging through isles and shelves for your items. There's usually only 1 staff member working at the store by themselves, so they can't always greet every single customer that walks in nor can they organize an entire store alone while having to operate the check out register. I went to the store today, and the store was cleaner and more organized than I've seen it before in the years I've lived in Hutto. The only employee was Amanda (aka Mandy), and she was incredibly nice and very engaging with the customers. And she was really fast/efficient at the check out register. I've never seen that before. I hope management treats her well. I didn't have a coupon at check out, and she was kind enough to use a $5 coupon that I'm guessing was left behind by another customer. I really appreciated that. I really hope the company keeps Mandy at that store. She was a joy.
