We have been loyal customers of Covert Chevrolet Hutto for years and have purchased multiple vehicles through this dealership, including two vehicles for family members within just the last month alone. Over time, our family has spent an incredible amount of money with Covert because we believed loyalty, repeat business, and relationships actually mattered there. Unfortunately, our most recent experience proved otherwise. After my husband’s Hummer was totaled, we began working another deal with the dealership for a replacement vehicle. We had already invested time into the process, completed discussions with financing, and were specifically told there was only one additional lender the finance department wanted to speak with before finalizing paperwork. While we were actively working the deal and under the impression the vehicle was being held pending financing completion, another salesperson sold the vehicle out from under us. Not only was this incredibly frustrating, but the complete lack of concern afterward from management and ownership made the situation even worse. No accountability. No urgency. No attempt to make things right for loyal, repeat customers who have continuously supported this dealership for years. At this point, it genuinely feels like customer loyalty means absolutely nothing at Covert Chevrolet Hutto. Once the sale is convenient for them, great. But when there’s an issue, communication and customer care disappear quickly. We have defended and recommended this dealership in the past, but after repeated disappointments and wasted time, I can no longer do that honestly. If you’re looking for a dealership that values relationships, communication, and customer loyalty, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
Just purchased my second truck from Covert and they made it so easy! the transaction was done from two hours away and Kris the salesman delivered it right to my driveway!He went over the top explaining everything and getting the phone app all set up. i really appreciate Mr Councilman and his dedication and devotion to duty. But they were all helpful including the head of finance department who went out of his way to get it all right til closing time
I’ve been in the automotive dealership industry since I was 17, working my way through roles from service advisor to parts manager, billing, finance, and warranty—just about everything except sales. With that level of hands-on experience, I can confidently say that Hutto Ford has one of the best service departments I’ve come across in a long time. From the moment you walk in, the operation feels organized, efficient, and genuinely customer-focused. The service team communicates clearly, sets accurate expectations, and—most importantly—follows through. That alone sets them apart from a lot of dealerships. What really stood out to me is how well the back-end processes seem to run. You can tell there’s strong coordination between service, parts, and warranty, which is something most customers don’t see—but it makes all the difference in turnaround time and overall experience. It’s rare to find a service department that operates this smoothly while still treating customers with respect and professionalism. Based on my experience in the industry, this team is doing it right.
Great experience
We have consistently chosen Ford Hutto over other nearby dealerships because Covert Hutto used to provide reliable service. Unfortunately, our experiences over the past year have been unacceptable. On one visit, we brought our vehicle in for a specific issue. We were then told additional repairs were needed, which we approved. After paying approximately $3,000, we picked up the car only to immediately discover that something that was working before the visit was no longer functioning. When I called, I was told nothing had been done to that component. On top of that, we later found we were charged for services that were never performed, including a battery cleaning. A few months later, we brought the vehicle back for ongoing issues and clearly explained the problem. During this visit, we were also told the battery needed to be replaced. However, once we informed them the battery was under warranty, the replacement was suddenly no longer necessary, which raises serious concerns about the accuracy and honesty of that recommendation. We paid over $2,000 for repairs that were supposedly going to fix the issue. The car seemed fine on the drive home, but the very next day, the exact same problem returned—making it clear the issue was never properly diagnosed or fixed. I left a message regarding this and have now waited three weeks without any response. Being charged thousands of dollars for unresolved issues, questionable recommendations, and services that may not have even been performed—combined with a complete lack of follow-up—is unacceptable.
Huge shoutout to Cameron at Covert Ford of Hutto! I really appreciated his help throughout the entire process. I traded in my Jeep for a beautiful F-150 Tremor, and honestly, it wouldn’t have happened without him. Even on a very busy day, Cameron gave me his full attention and never once made me feel rushed or steered in the wrong direction. This dealership moves a lot of volume, but I still felt like a genuinely valued customer the whole time. I even came back a few days later to confirm my down payment and address a couple small things with the truck. Cameron took time out of his schedule to personally help coordinate everything with the service department, which really stood out to me. Also want to give a shoutout to Jake in finance! He was super communicative and easy to work with. Great dealership, great service, and even better people. I’ll absolutely be coming back here, even though a few other dealers are closer, just because of the quality of service.
