I normally don’t post things like this, but after our experience I feel like it’s important to share so others in the community can make an informed decision. When my family was relocating to Texas, I worked with Brenda as a realtor and told her multiple times that we specifically did not want a home in an HOA. Despite being very clear about this, every listing she sent me was in an HOA. I ultimately ended up finding our rental myself and handling the process on my own. My mother also rented a home from Brenda that she owned. When my mom bought her own house, Brenda was actually the realtor involved in that purchase and was completely aware of the timeline. My mom paid rent through the end of March and had already communicated that the home would be vacant April 1st. Despite that, Brenda repeatedly pressured her to move out earlier even though rent had already been paid for the full month. She also gave my mom a hard time about having a cat while trying to show the house — even though my mom was still legally living there. The overall communication and professionalism we experienced were extremely disappointing and created unnecessary stress during what is already a major life transition. I’m sharing this simply as a community heads up so others can make their own informed decision before choosing who they work with
