We recently used Alter for the partial remodel of our bathroom after a water incident.
Let me start with, you rarely encounter a contractor these days with the level of integrity and attention to detail as I experienced with Alter. From the moment I called to schedule a quote until the project finished, Eli had excellent communication and made it clear our satisfaction was his main concern, not the speed of the job or an unneeded up sale to increase profit. He recommended the best method/product to ensure longevity and quality of the result. They stayed on schedule, showed up on time everyday and finished the project on time. Throughout the project Eli would send pictures of the work as it progressed and highlighted any areas of concern he wanted to discuss. Went above and beyond, to even snaking my toilet during reinstall because they noticed it was flushing slow, only to pull a child's toy out of the toilets trap. Every step of the way Eli would meticulously double check everything done.
The finished product was professional, clean and beautiful.
Pricing was very competitive, I received quotes of similar and higher costs that covered less work and were more of a bandaid than a finished project.

Primary bathroom ceiling leak required immediate attention. After four contractors failed to respond (job likely too small), a neighbor referred us to Alter Construction. They inspected the roof just before a major ice storm, identified the issue, and installed a temporary patch to prevent further damage. After the storm, their team completed the roof repair, provided photos, and left the worksite spotless. They also repaired and repainted the interior ceiling and wall, carefully matching the original color. The owner and crew arrived on time, explained each step, and obtained our approval before proceeding. They honored their quote without pushing unnecessary upgrades. As seniors on a budget, we greatly appreciated their professionalism, transparency, and quality workmanship. Highly recommended.

If you are not working with Alter Construction you are in the wrong! Mr. Eli took part in helping fix the outside wall where my shower door was falling. These folks know what they are doing, they are professional, extremely polite and caring. This work was a result of putting my trust on someone that I found on social media. Unfortunately I confided in the wrong person, however Mr. Eli and his workers showed me they could be trusted. The level of communication was outstanding from setting up the ppointment, understanding the job, but most important making sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the work. I do not know how these gentleman did it, my wall looks untouched! Like it never happened! I have really bright lights in my bathroom pointing right where they made the cut and I cannot see a single line. My significant other was also super amazed and pleased with their work. I say do your research, but with Alter Construction you can save time because you will be in good hands! If I could give them more than five stars I would give them 💯! We did a lot of work with Alter – extended our house, redid floors, painted everything. Despite how big the project was, Eli and Cytnhia made the entire experience a breeze and gave a ton of confidence in the output. There were daily check-ins on what was going to happen and the progress that was made, any anticipated challenges or changes were proactively brought up – and any changes that we made (because I’m a high maintenance client) were handled with grace. And by the end, the timeline was hit perfectly, and the results were stunning. We continue to get complements on the work. It was an incredible experience, and I will be going back to Alter for our next project – redoing our master bedroom and patio.
