I went it 10 minutes after they opened. I was surprised this is just a bakery inside of a Valero gas station. I was completely ignored by the staff and never received service. There were no kolaches on display. Heading the Grand Donuts. Not in a gas station.
We love the original Weickels locations. Was super disappointed to stop at the Leander location and receive sub par food. Kolaches were soggy and not warm. Would love to see this corrected so we could visit again
I grew up with Weikel's in LaGrange when they were the Bonton Restaurant. They opened just the bakery after the bypass was put in. I still love going there. When I found this Leander location was closer, I was so excited! I visited yesterday for the first time...it was NOT right. No one at the counter, cornflakes were topping the strudel which was also oily and greasy for some reason. Barely any streisel on top of the kolaches. No fresh bread. The cherry kolache tasted like floor cleaner. The worst part...no one spoke ENGLISH! The guy on the other side of the counter reluctantly came out to help after 10 minutes of me standing there and only after a coworker YELLED across the room. When he came out, he could only point at the counter and say, "You want?". I tried asking him questions about the items and he kept just saying, "You want?" This is NOT Weikel's. It has the name but the service there and lack of care and pride for the brand was shocking. This place is a complete disgrace to the family name. Please close this one down and move it elsewhere!

Absolutely the best cinnamon rolls. Soft, cinnammy, sweet. Unbelievable kolaches. Lemon 🍋 s my favorite apricot is my wife’s favorite. We drive about 35 minutes to pick up all our favorites. The sausage kolaches are the best savory snacks!

Authentic Czech kolaches! We always stop on our way to Houston, SO glad to have discovered we have one closer to home!
The bakery has a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. The food is decent but not quite as amazing as the setting suggests. Unfortunately, the service really brings the experience down, inattentive and lacking friendliness. Atmosphere was great, it was clean and what not, but the staff and quality could use some improvement.
