We have moved my dad numerous times before coming to UVMC. My dad was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies and has a number of other mobility and health issues. He has improved since coming to the facility. Terra and the team are outstanding.

If I could give 10 stars I would!! University Village Memory Care is truly the best memory care community. The staff—especially Terra, Donnetta, Dorie, and the caregivers—are some of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. They are incredibly patient with my mom and took the time to truly get to know her as a person, not just a resident. I live far south and drive over an hour to visit, and I do so with complete peace of mind knowing my mom is genuinely well cared for. She is safe, supported, and—most importantly—actually enjoying her time there. That alone means everything to our family. If you are looking for a memory care community where your loved one will be treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine love, I cannot recommend University Village Memory Care enough.

Our family is so incredibly grateful for the phenomenal care our dad received during his month at this memory care community. From the very first day, it was clear that this wasn’t just a facility — it’s a place filled with compassion, dignity, and genuine love for residents. The staff treated Dad with such patience, respect, and kindness. They took the time to learn who he was as a person — not just his diagnosis — and that meant everything to us. Even during challenging moments, they handled him with calm reassurance and professionalism. We always felt that he was safe and truly cared for. The environment was warm, clean, and thoughtfully designed for memory support. There was always meaningful activity, gentle engagement, and smiling faces. Communication with our family was consistent and thoughtful, which gave us tremendous peace of mind during a difficult season. We will always be thankful for the dignity and comfort they gave him in his final chapter. If you are looking for a memory care community that leads with heart, this is it. 💛

University Village is truly the best of the best! The staff are patient and kind with both residents and family members. The care coordinators and many of the staff have been there for years. The most amazing thing is how happy most of the staff are! I mean, their job is one of the hardest on the planet - caring for people whose brains are being ripped apart by disease and who can no longer communicate with the rest of us in a normal way. And yet, many of the staff members go through their whole day with a smile on their face and love in their hearts - it is truly amazing! Thank you, Terra, Dorie, Donnetta, Abby, Mardi, Craig, and all the staff, for everything you have done and everything you continue to do! We deeply appreciate you.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the care is at UVMC. We moved my dad there a few years ago. We found it so good we moved my special needs brother there also. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Terra, Donetta, Dori and the overall team treat my family with great care and we feel very lucky to be there.
