Thank you to Yvette and the team at Trinity Care Center for hosting this week’s SIS – Just Networking event, powered by Oasis Senior Advisors Austin and Central Texas. Trinity offers skilled nursing and rehab services in a professional and supportive environment. The therapy team is attentive and focused on helping patients recover safely and confidently. If you’re looking for a local rehab option, reach out to Yvette—she’s a great resource and always willing to help.
I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Their kindness to my mother in law literally brought my husband and I to tears. From our initial calls with Yvette in admissions who put us at ease during an incredibly difficult time and so clearly went above and beyond her role to help us, to the nurses making jokes to make my MIL smile, to the administrator who listened compassionately to info I needed to share— we’ve felt completely reassured and hopeful for the first time in a long time. She had a stroke and had been mostly non responsive and non verbal for 5 weeks. She’s now moving her arm, talking some, and they’re sitting her up and in the sunshine. The therapists she’s working with have also seemed very genuine. It’s true that the carpet could stand to be replaced (lol) but if you only look at that and don’t look beyond to the incredible kind hearts of the staff, you’re really missing out.
While my Dad's time at Trinity Care Center was way to short, we absolutely and honestly are so grateful for all that they did for our family. To be honest, my dad was not a positive man often and to go on my daily visit and hear him say "I had a great day today, Tess, I just wanted you to hear something positive for once" just brought tears to my eyes. Each and every staff member from the administrators, the nursing staff (Shout out to the "A" Wing), the maintenance crew, the dining crew and many many more from the get go, guided and talked with my family to make his admission less stressful. The Trinity Care Staff treated my dad with respect, patience and care, even when he was being a little call button happy. They would come and see how he was. There was so much activity happen around that center that there was no reason for any resident to be bored unless they chose to stay to themselves. My dad and I would look at the months events and schedule his next days events based on what was going on. I would tell him that staying active was being healthy and to "Get up and Get out". Go enjoy! Most rooms had a window that would look out into a courtyard making the grounds of Trinity feel so homie. You could sit under all the trees while watching the birds and the fattest little squirrels playing round. You would find residents just sitting in cozy areas chatting or walking up and down the hallways just talking to every person they met. My family and I visited 3 times before we committed to Trinity and we did the because we just knew it would feel like home. And while my Dad's time was short there, it did feel like home to him. After he went to a doctor appt, he would ask "am I going back to my room, now?" and I would say "Yes", "Good" he would say. Thank you Trinity Care Center to each and everyone of you for taking care of my Dad "George Blaha"
My dad has stayed at Trinity for once for respite and a second time for in-patient physical therapy/rehab. We strongly considered other options that specialize in physical therapy. However, some of those options felt more like a hospital setting and my dad felt so much at home when he stayed for respite that he wanted to go back. Kudos to Trinity Staff for their unwavering warmth and empathy towards the residents.
We had the plaesure of visiting and singing Christmas carols for the residents and staff during the holidays.. it was so fun. The staff was amazing and residents just seemed so appreciative. It was awesome. I found I have a friend staying there, he had nothing but great things to say about his stay there. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to come and share some holiday spirit.
