Great service, fantastic pie and cobbler, especially the "hot pie" with brady sauce and ice cream, entrees were really good also

Everything was delicious! Service and atmosphere was nice. The portion sizes are much smaller than they use to be, but still very good. I passed on the pie/cake, $6.99 a slice was a bit much for me. I'll definitely be back.
Old style cafe with great tasting food and very friendly staff. Food came out quick and hot. Very spacious with a low noise level (was full when we arrived). Would recommend stopping in for lunch if you happen to be anywhere near Taylor Texas.
The waitress was awesome. The food was awesome. I got chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, texas toast. Which is a texas favorite!
I’m sorry to report that my experience was very disappointing. We use to go to the one in Hutto all the time so I decided to try the sister one on Taylor. I ordered the salmon croquette special with fried okra and mashers and it was probably the most bland and tasteless meal I have ever had. No seasoning whatsoever. Even the tartar sauce was watery and had no taste at all. The only item I have way enjoyed was the Texas toast. 🤣 Regrettably I will never go back. 😔
Our chicken fried steak liver and onions were on POINT! We experienced the pecan pie cobbler...WOW OH WOW AMAZING
There are other options; go with them. Won't allow call in orders that are not paid in advance.
The chicken fried steak was delicious as was the cherry cheesecake! My friend said they're fried okra with some of the best they had ever eaten.
Great burgers and great clientele. I recommend trying the onion rings.
