When I initially filed, I was going in blind so I ran to a "billboard firm". This was an absolute mistake. After a whole year of spending thousands of dollars for literally no movement and cold-robotic "down to business" interactions where I felt like I was not being heard or supported, I jumped ship! The Pennington Law Firm came highly recommended to me. It was important to me I find an attorney who was queer-friendly and had experience with same-sex custody matters. I could not have found a more amazing attorney than Daniela Ibarra. Daniela listened to my concerns, no matter how silly they may have seemed; was honest/blunt when I asked her to be; quick and efficient with her communication; and despite the process continuing to be lengthy, she never asked me to compromise for the sake of getting it over with (like the first attorney did). The absolute biggest thing to me though was that she understands the emotional toll a divorce involving a child can take on someone and ultimately what is "at stake". Not only did she fiercely pursue an outcome I can sleep with at night, she was extremely empathetic and supportive throughout the process. The office staff is amazing as well! Shout out to Ruby!
