My wife has been cutting my hair since the covid pandemic shut down the barbershops. She's gotten really good at fades, but I wanted to grow my hair out and try something new for the first time in my life. Vanessa took the time to explain what's realistic with my hair type, explained what products I should be using to achieve the style I want and how to actually apply them. She also helped me figure out what to do in the interim while I'm growing it to the length I want. My only advice would be to be more clear on the check-in process. Modern Chivalry does not have its own dedicated building, it's inside a salon with other suites that are rented out by other companies. There's a map on the wall as you enter, but it lists Modern Chivalry multiple times. There was no one at the front desk, so I had no idea where to go. Maybe including the room number the stylist is in in the confirmation text that's sent would be a good idea? Either way, I had a good experience and I'll be back!

I had a fantastic experience with Rachel at Modern Chivalry in Leander, TX. If you’re looking for a high-quality men’s haircut in the Leander area, this place is absolutely worth checking out. One of the things that really sets Modern Chivalry apart from a typical barbershop is the private room setup. It makes the appointment feel much more personal, comfortable, and relaxed compared to the usual open barbershop environment. Rachel did an outstanding job on my haircut. She was detail-oriented, took her time, and the final result was exactly what I wanted. You can tell she really cares about the quality of her work. They also offer a great range of grooming services, so it feels like more of a full men’s grooming experience rather than just a quick haircut. The price is absolutely worth it for the level of service, the private experience, and the quality of the cut. Highly recommend Rachel if you’re looking for a great barber or stylist in Leander, TX. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This was my first time going to Modern Chivarlry and I will definitely be going back. Hands down the best haircut and beard trim I've ever had. Angelia clearly takes pride in her work and really knows her stuff. She was friendly and thorough. She asked lots of questions before we got started and really listened to what I wanted. She was even able to tame my stubborn cowlick. The whole experience was easy and relaxing (I almost fell asleep while she was trimming my beard). I don't live anywhere near Leander, but I will definitely be making the trip again.

Great shop and great service - Vanessa is awesome! She is very detail oriented and consistently delivers a clean and crisp mid fade. Highly recommend!

My son, Ishan had his first haircut at this place around Christmas and Vanessa has been simply great. Not only she cleaned up his entangled hair, but gave him various suggestions for hair styling. He chose the one she recommended and all his friends praise his hair style. Thank you Vanessa!! Will definitely come back.

I have going to Candace since around May, She makes you feel comfortable right away and is super helpful when it comes to figuring out what you want. She’s detail oriented, takes her time, and makes sure everything looks right. Always a solid experience and a great cut every time.

Great haircuts! I’ve been going for a while now and have had Samantha (owner), Candace (my usual), and now also Rachel, cut my hair. All of them are wonderful and listen to exactly how I like it and are very receptive to feedback. It’s great to have a place to go where I know anyone can cut my hair and know it will turn out great! I’ve started doing “The Standard” which is the monthly plan that includes a haircut and bronze scalp treatment. Don’t skip the scalp treatment, that’s the best part!
