Great place but asking for tips while the person behind the register does literally nothing is crazy work they try adding the tip when you pay and have to manually press "no"

We used to really enjoy going to Menchie's. Not so much anymore. There's used to be a variety of dairy free and gluten free options that were always changing. It seems like the vegan choices haven't changed in a long time. Now the customer service is really lacking. There was teenager who was too busy on her phone to look up and get us bowls. Flavors were so so, place was clean. Can we please stop forcing tips?? This is 100% self-serve, yet when you check out, there’s a seemingly required tip. The person literally just stands there to ring up your order after you’ve created it. Didn’t seem to be a place to alter the tip to be any less than 15%. So wild!!
