Went when first moving to Leander, had terrible experiences and quickly left for a new office. Now we find out my wife has an infection due to an improperly placed crown leaving a gap leading to a situation that never should have happened. Have and will continue to tell everyone to go elsewhere.
I saw Dr. Goode. I have never had issues with any dental work from any other dentists until Leander Dental Care. About 1 year or so ago I had two fillings done which were located right next to each other. After Dr. Goode filled them and advised me the sensitivity would go away, it never went away. When I would floss, the floss hurt to pull back down out of teeth. I went back 2 additional times to have it fixed and he "shaved them" to help make a bigger gap for the floss to fit into, but that didn't address the root problem. He even told me just to pull the floss out of the side of my tooth instead of pulling it down. I knew it wasn't normal but I had been back twice to have it fixed and kinda gave up on it because it didn't hurt unless I bit something the wrong way or when pulling floss down. That being said, I decided to find a new dentist last month. The new dentist could not get me in until July and I was due for my cleaning. So I called Leander Dental back to schedule just a cleaning. They advised me they would not only schedule me for a cleaning and that I had to get X-rays in order for me to schedule my cleaning. I did not not want to use my insurance for x-rays through them because I knew I was going to get X-rays when I went to the new dentist also, and insurance would not cover both. Leander Dental did not care and would not schedule me for just a cleaning. This made me feel as though they did not care about my- the customer's- needs and it was all about money. So I ended up just cancelling everything with Leander Dental Care. Luckily the new dentist got me in sooner than July for the cleaning. Fast forward to present time, with my new dentist, they showed me the new X-rays of the fillings Dr. Goode did and you can clearly see how mis-shaped the fillings are. They are not shaped like teeth are supposed to be, one protrudes over into the other. My new dentist said that is why the flossing is sensitive and he is now re-doing those fillings. This made me pretty angry after seeing how poorly shaped they were. I doubt it, because I have never had any dental problems prior to this, but maybe I'm an anomaly. However, after seeing x-rays and having another dentist explain how poorly the work done by Dr. Goode at Leander Dental was, combined with them not caring enough to schedule me for a cleaning without X-rays, I will never recommend them. I don't even write many reviews about places, but it stinks when it's poor work being done to your teeth, so maybe this will help someone.
I have been seeing Dr. Good for years and he is always kind and friendly. He has done a lot of work on my teeth and always done a great job.
This place has really gotten to the point of unacceptability regarding customer service and overall patient experience. Today I had a question before a procedure was to take place and the dentist (Dr. Hughes) acted as if he was insulted I had questions. This is all after the fact of them being 20-30 mins late taking me to back area from the scheduled appointment time. This location use to be something special before it was sold and lost of all their good staff. Besides Dr. Good, please avoid this location unless you want to be treated poorly. After my family coming here for over 10 years we will now find somewhere else that puts patient concerns and satisfaction as a top priority

After the exam, I was informed that I needed several cavities addressed. That part wasn’t surprising. What was surprising was the financial process that followed. The conversation felt less like a healthcare discussion and more like sitting across from a finance manager at a car dealership—focused heavily on cost breakdowns and payment structure rather than care. The most concerning part: I was told I needed to pay a $100 deposit just to schedule the procedure. While I understand deposits in certain contexts, this felt out of place in a healthcare setting. Patients are already committing to treatment and cost—adding a pay-to-book requirement creates an unnecessary barrier and, frankly, erodes trust. Yes, the deposit is applied toward the final bill, but that doesn’t change the principle. Patients shouldn’t feel like they’re paying for access to care. Healthcare—especially dentistry—relies on trust, transparency, and patient-first thinking. This experience leaned too far in the direction of financial policy over patient care. If you’re exploring dental providers, I’d encourage you to ask upfront about payment practices and find an office whose approach aligns with your expectations. There are plenty of great providers out there who prioritize patient experience alongside clinical care. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of them.
Subject: Feedback on Recent Appointment I have been a patient of Dr. Good for nearly a decade, and I have always appreciated his honesty and transparency, which warrants a five-star rating. I had a scheduled appointment this morning for a routine cleaning with a hygienist amidst a very busy day. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet my expectations for a standard six-month cleaning. Initially, the hygienist reviewed my listed medications and engaged in a lengthy discussion regarding one medication's potential side effect of memory loss and the suggestion of replacing another medication with a sleep apnea machine. Additionally, she recommended that I undergo a sleep study. I was surprised to receive medical advice from the hygienist, and I plan to discuss her recommendations with my primary care physician. Regrettably, I felt that the time allotted for my cleaning was wasted; my teeth were not cleaned, and I intend to inform my insurance provider that the procedure was not completed. The hygienist cited swollen gums as the reason for not cleaning my teeth, which is perplexing given that in the past ten years, I have experienced swollen gums on several occasions yet still received cleanings. I am concerned that this was merely a strategy to generate additional revenue for the office's renovations, as I was encouraged to schedule another appointment in January for a deep cleaning, which would likely incur greater costs than my insurance would cover. Advice: If you notice any concerning practices at a dental office, I recommend exercising caution, as it could lead to unnecessary financial burdens.
They're great in there!! I don't like dental work at all just like anybody but having a choice I'll always go there. Everybody is really nice.
Recently I had to make an unexpected visit to Leander Dental Care. It was an early appointment, but everyone was smiling and seemed happy to be there, making me feel welcome. Dr. Good replaced my crown, and I was out the door
Had an issue that needed attention. They worked me in quickly and fully resolved it with care and concern for my wellbeing. Very impressed with the whole experience - office staff, technician and Doctor.
Person answering the phone did not know any pricing, finally figured out what the prices were for a simple consultation, and it was $390 dollars 😱 is this a luxury dental office or something 😭
