They have been very prompt with resolving billing related questions. Overall very satisfied with the work and service. Highly recommend.

We called Highland Lakes Outdoor Living to help us repair or replace an existing pergola between our house and garage. The main problem was one of the four 6X6 cedar posts had begun to sink into the ground straight down. The job foreman, Jay, was very knowledgeable about situations like this. During our inspection together I found that a second post was rotted up to 7 ft. off ground so we chose to replace the entire post. He was sure Highland Lakes could repair the structure. He made recommendations to "dress up" the posts which included adding stones around the base of the posts. I received a quote within a few days and after comparing his quote with others we decided that Highland Lakes had the experience, knowledge and acceptable price to hire them. They started the job a couple days later. It was interesting to see how they supported the heavy structure as they cut the 3 posts 2 feet from the ground. They then pulled the old rotten posts, with no concrete, out of the holes. The fourth post to be replaced was located next to a wisteria plant that they painstakingly dug around to save the root system. After looking at the existing 2X2s on the top of the pergola I opted to have all of them replaced instead of the 8 I had originally chosen to replace. They gave me another quote that afternoon to replace all 2X2s and seal the entire structure again. The stonemasons did a great job mixing my red stones with their "autumn blend" that matched our house. At the end of the job while inspecting their work I noticed a rotten 2X12 piece and when I asked Jay how to repair it to prevent further damage by rainwater he said "we'll take care of it". They cut the damaged spot so they could place a new piece of wood in its place. They used a sealant that was not that noticeable and now it is waterproof. Another note. I asked the mason about my cracking stone retaining wall. Next thing I know he was repairing the crack with mortar that he whipped up for the occasion. All in all a great experience. I definitely recommend Highland Lakes Outdoor Living!
