There are simply not enough words to express my gratitude to the incredible staff at Hearthstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Round Rock. My brother, Ben, lived at Hearthstone for nearly four years, and during that time so many of the staff became much more than caregivers—they became his friends. Through the most difficult moments of his illness, they treated him with kindness, dignity, compassion, and genuine love. As Ben's older sister, I was always made to feel welcome. The staff kept me informed, answered my questions, and truly partnered with me in his care. One of the greatest gifts they gave me was the opportunity to continue making precious memories with my brother through the holiday celebrations, special events, and activities they organized. Those moments are priceless, and I will cherish them forever. Even after Ben passed away, the compassion they showed me continued. Their kindness made one of the hardest times of my life a little easier to bear. To Caraday leadership: I hope you realize what an extraordinary team you have at Hearthstone. They don't just care for their residents—they care for the families who love them. To: Hearthstone ENTIRE staff, thank you for loving my brother, Ben. My mom is staying there and is so happy there Staff is amazing
After 15 months of providing care at home, our family realized that Mom’s care needs had grown beyond what we could manage on our own. We then began searching for a nearby nursing facility that could fully support her needs and provide the level of care she required. During my first visit to Hearthstone with Tia, the Admission Dir, was thoughtful and compassionate as she listened to our concerns about placing Mom in a nursing facility. As we toured the facility, we noticed the genuine interactions between the staff and residents, which immediately stood out to us. And it may seem like a small detail, but the facility smelled clean and well cared for, which gave us additional peace of mind. After meeting Ralph, the Maintenance Dir, who leads the facilities team it became even more clear how deeply he cares about the residents and the quality of care they receive. One of our primary concerns while caring for Mom at home was her declining appetite. The daily struggle to get/fight with her to eat had caused her weight to drop to just 91 pounds. After six months of care at Hearthstone, she now weighs 106 pounds, and Missy, the Dietary Mgr, happily shares that Mom regularly cleans her plate at mealtimes. Wow! That's how I know that we did the right thing by placing Mom with Hearthstone!!! All the staff from the front desk, nursing and activities staff are really the key to my mom's success and our family can't say "Thank You" enough for taking such good care of my mom!!!!
When we needed it most, Hearthstone proved to be exactly the right place for our family. The staff's care is unmistakably genuine, their patience with residents evident at every turn, and the warmth you feel the moment you walk through the door is hard to miss. The building itself is bright, open, and immaculately kept. All of it together made a difficult season far more bearable than we expected. A special shout out to Tia E - who put up with my diligence and unexpected visits while making my decision. She always had a smile! She is a great asset for her company.
My 81 year old mother was here for three weeks of rehabilitation care after a two week stay in the hospital, and she was provided with first-rate care. The entire staff at Hearthstone is thoughtful and kind, and really invested in the patient’s care and wellbeing. My mother really enjoyed her stay and is extremely grateful for the outstanding care she received.
