Fried chicken sandwich was amazing, and our server Will was very nice and quick to grab refills or anything we needed
Me and my buddy and in here on our lunch break and we got Will as our server he did a great job inviting us in and made great conversation the food came out hot and super quick and Will pre-bussed the table as we ate it was a great experience definitely coming back again!
The food was phenomenal. The blackened catfish was to die for. But what really stood out was the service. Evelynn (I think that was her name?) and her team made the night. She was clearly on top of everything and still felt warm and personal. She even checked in on us and gave great recommendations, the desserts we took to go were INCREDIBLE. You can tell her team feeds off that energy too. Everyone seemed happy to be there and we'll be back when we return to town just for that alone.
So Good things first! Service was great. Our food was exactly as ordered and really good. Loved my fries! Burger was good. Chicken sandwich really good. Mac n cheese was good. Lavender fields is an awesome drink! My only issue is they got rid of the Creamy Chicken soup!! It was divine! We came here for it so was super disappointing that the menu change nixed it!! No one else has it so it was something special they had. Crazy to get rid of it!
WHAT HAPPENED? This restaurant has always been one of my favorites on the square since they opened. They have been making so many changes that are ruining the quality and taste of the food. They changed the ranch dressing to dill and it does not taste anything like ranch, does not taste good. The french fries have no seasoning anymore. My daughter and I decided to give it another chance this evening and got a to-go order. My gluten free fried chicken was burnt, was black and tasted awful. I don't understand why you would send someone home with poor quality items. We also noticed the mashed potato recipe changed. We loved the original and it is now sweet, pink and doesn't taste like mashed potatoes. The previous time I came in with my husband and there were dirty dishes all over the tables and bar area. We lost our appetites sitting there and only ordered dessert. One of my favorite sides was the esquites, sad to see it go. I'm afraid it's time to cross Goodfolks off my list and go somewhere with consistency in food quality and cleanliness. Sadly, I will not return unless the food goes back to its normal, and good old quality.
Food is not the same, they are using Sonic like bacon, potatoes dry and old coffee. I told the waitress she mentioned food quality has changed. I told manager it’s not the same but he insisted it was fresh and did not offer to replace my bacon with sausage or coffee. Sadly will never return I hope the owner can bounce back and I approve restaurant using BenEKeith products.
I hate to be the one to say this given that I was suchhhh a loyal customer of good folks but the new changes to the restaurant were not for the better. We brought some first timers in one morning for brunch only to be so disappointed by the new menu that we unfortunately decided to leave. Hoping things turn around one day soon! I really do love this place!
Ordered a burger meal that was listed at $14. I was asked if I wanted to add an extra patty, but the price was never mentioned. The total jumped to $21, meaning the extra patty alone cost $7, which is a significant markup and should have been clearly communicated upfront. I also asked about the fries and was told they were curly fries, but received potato wedges instead. When I brought up the concerns, no manager came to speak with me directly. I was instead given a phone number and told to call if I had an issue, which is not how customer service should be handled on-site. Overall, the experience lacked pricing transparency, order accuracy, and proper customer service resolution.
A real mixed bag…we went for Tuesday 50% off shareables and happy hour…Ordered the Fried Tomato Caprese and Brussels Sprouts along with cocktails. It was a bit confusing as you walk in as if it’s fast food place order and then have a seat. We just wanted to sit at the bar order a drink then order our shareables, but it was frowned upon. The food was below average. Drinks were ok, although two bartenders at the bar one who had 4 weeks experience and the other who was in training, the drinks were ehhh. Maybe it was a off night…but for us the experience fell way below our expectations.
This was a super cute spot but the service was not on point and really ruined our experience. Our order was forgotten about, other people who came in and ordered after us got their food and drinks before which was just demoralizing. The ordering and delivery system needs some work. The food was overall good and a fair price, I just feel we wasted a lot of our time in Georgetown waiting at this place. Will be trying other spots next time.
