Giving 5 stars because the coffee is excellent and the staff is lovely. Whenever I come to town this is my daily cup, their dedication to coffee truly honours the brew. This time, my friend and I did the coffee initiation experience with Kendall, which was a fun intro to coffee cupping and specialty coffees. Be sure to try the co-fermented beans! Two notes: I was asked by the barista to order on the POS system. No one was waiting behind me, and I would have preferred to wait a minute and order in person. The human connection is, to me, an important part of coffee shop culture. I would have preferred, "you can use the tablet if you want to order now, otherwise, I'll be with you in a minute". Secondly, I bring my own cup because I don't want to waste a single use cup. I ordered a latte and the espresso was in my cup, and then they gave me the milk separately in a paper cup. Not sure what the point is this is, surely you can pour the milk directly from the steam pitcher into the reusable cup? Regardless of these minor nits, Enlightenment fully earns all five stars, and this Seattlite is happy to know i can always rely on first class coffee in Round Rock!
