This place would not succeed with competition in town. Food is overpriced, and restaurant is poorly run. Take the drive to Perry's in the domain. No comparison

GM is horrible, when discussing batched drinks undermined our opinion of it and went on to make excuses. Definitely doesn’t deserve to be in a leadership role.
Food is always fresh and properly prepared to the customer taste. Reisling wine from france near Germany border is excellent with this fish (Ruby red trout). Service is always great and attentive.
The food is not a one star, it has been consistently 4-5 stars. Always has been high quality. I could not elevate in good faith the overall review based on the service and belligerence we received from the wait staff, and then the manager. For a family that has been a loyal and regular customer ( we know the server was not aware of this ) but that should not come into play . The abject arrogance from the wait staff that we were no longer the customer that should be served. Then the elevated deceitfulness escalated. This has made it impossible for us to return . I try to look past this interaction that occurred, my family can’t and I understand why they can’t. We won’t come back .
We had an amazing experience here! The food was absolutely excellent, and the service went above and beyond. From the drinks to the scallops and risotto, everything was outstanding—but I can’t say enough about the dry-aged ribeye. It was cooked perfectly, exactly to my liking. Apple pie is a must have. We came for a date night/anniversary, and it truly made the evening special. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and overall experience were top-notch. This is easily one of the best restaurants in Georgetown. We enjoyed it so much that we’ll definitely be coming back monthly. Thanks again for the incredible service!
We came here for our anniversary on a Tuesday and they had a fun little sampler night. Such a happy accident! It was such a special time. Great service and food.
No reservations? No problem. My wife and I decided, at the last minute, to give this restaurant a try. We're glad we did. We sat in the oyster bar area and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the Old Post Old Fashioned, which was unique, sweet, refreshing and delicious, to the Frech Onion soup, and the Cheese and Charcuterie board (the blueberries and macadamia nuts were a delicious change of pace). We had the Lobster Roll and Coulette & Chimichurri. Both were flavorful. That cut of meat was something I've never tried before. We were too full for desert (next time!) We'd also love to check out the Speakeasy downstairs...intriguing! Alex provided excellent service. Very friendly and welcoming to us. Chef Adrian came by a few times too. Nice guy. It's very clear that the staff enjoy what they do, and were happy to mention how well they're treated. This high level of morale translates to a great experience for diners. We LOVE how unique this restaurant is. The history tied to the building and the city is really cool. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will absolutely be back to try the main or private dining areas. Nice job!
Always a great experience. Food is amazing with true high quality ingredients. Service is awesome as well.
My 2nd time visiting. I came for my birthday dinner and from the moment I arrived the staff was already wishing me a happy birthday including our waiter. Our table had a birthday card signed by the staff. The food was delicious as always. After dinner we were escorted to the lounge area down the 1st floor. We had a reserved table waiting for us by the stage. The atmosphere was taking you back in time during the Speakeasy era. The decor was absolutely beautiful. The performance of old songs was on point. Overall the staff was friendly, professional, and fast service from being seated to the end. I had the Chilean bass fish, lobster bisque soup and a wedge salad. *Side note* give yourself plenty of time for parking as it can be difficult to find. There is a public parking garage 2 blocks North off of Main street and 4th St. The restaurant gives you a 15 minute late window from your reservation time or else you will need to reschedule your reservation. For families with children there is no room for the children to play. No outside dining either. Plan accordingly. Reservations are recommend. I highly recommend this place for all occasions. We will be back soon!
