Susan is great. Very quick, really outgoing and personable. Good prices as well.
Susan gives the best haircuts. Very friendly and polite and doesn't take crap from anybody.
Love Susie! She has cut mine and my older son’s hair for a while, but last week she cut my 2 year old’s hair and he did not even flinch! He screamed for other barbers, but something about her made him calm. Also, this location is awesome, right on the square. Highly recommend for all ages.
That lady that cuts hair is very rude and cuts hair fast and it’s cash and checks only she ask what’s your name you tell her then she ask where your from and you tell her she gets mad and and says you not Spanish. For 40$ it’s not worth it I’d recommend if you it from around here do not come
This place used to be my go to barbershop. If I remember correctly, their haircuts changed price from $18 to $22 to $25 and will now be $30 after the new year. This lady is so rude if you mention how quickly she cuts hair, ask where the other barbers are or tell her you aren't interested in gambling on horse races. I had a very off putting experience my last time around. When I asked about the other barbers she "Shh'd" me and said they were either retired, dead, or drunk.
They only take cash!
Quick, cheap, friendly, local.
The new woman, with the accent, I wish I could remember her name... she's a firecracker, but she's amazing! If you can't take fast sharp humor with a great haircut then you won't like her (hence the 1stars). But she's amazing, funny and awesome!
The men in my family (as well as many friends) have gotten their hair cuts monthly at City Barber for 20+ years. Not anymore. We miss sweet Willard the owner, and the gentlemen who have worked the shop all of these years. The brunette woman (foreign accent) who apparently works the shop solo now was so terribly rude to my family on our last visit, we will never be back. Completely uncalled for and unprovoked. We were bewildered. She also gave a shoddy, 5 minute haircut. What a shame that such an iconic Georgetown institution we have loved for so long is now being taken down by this woman.
Just a good, old fashioned barber shop. No appointments, take a number as you enter. Have been getting haircuts there for 30 years, no plans to go anywhere else.
