Camp Briteside

Overall, this place is pretty interesting. I don't know why it has such a low review. I think we had a good time. It's extremely chaotic to be honest when you walk in. There's about 5,000 kids running around everywhere. It was easy to get a drink. I ordered a piece of cheesecake, but I didn't get food. They did tell us right when we walked into the kitchen we got backed up just because probably a UT game was on and it was pretty packed. I would assume that the rating is so low because I could imagine some of my friends with no kids walking in here and just absolutely hating it. There literally was like 500 kids here, okay maybe 50, but if I didn't have kids I probably would have hated it and reviewed this place poorly. But with kids, it was pretty awesome because there's literally a kid for your kid to play with at every corner of this place. Overall, I liked it and not too bad. Parking was nice and it was pretty enclosed. I will say the only negative was there was a few boards with nails sticking out that was just clearly not noticed and extremely dangerous. Management 100% should do something about that. I actually threw the boards over the somewhat of railing, but super dangerous. I should drop a star just for those boards, but I'll keep it five stars just because this place is rated so low already and I think it's undeserving.

The drinks were TERRIBLE. The Food was Horrible. We ordered Nachos but got mystery dish. The tables were sticky What happened to this place? We will not go back

Loved the atmosphere so much !!! Amazing customer service , so easy and so fast. Feels like I’m in a Community when I’m there with amazing food. 10/10 chicken Sandwich!! Will be back soon!!

Food is good small menu. It’s really great for kids and watching sports games.

Finally gave it a try. Very close, so I was hopeful based on some of the great reviews. Unfortunately, just not a good experience at all. After 10 minutes sitting at the end of the bar closest to the front door, a young man came from the kitchen (I suppose) and asked if he could help me. I asked him if he was the bartender for this half of the bar since the bartender at the other end was essentially ignoring me. He said that he was busy helping all of the people at that end. (I counted 6) I ordered the chicken fried steak and inquired about a small house salad to start. I declined the $6 for the small salad. When the cfs arrived, it looked pretty good. Good size, plenty of mashed potatoes, and green beens. Not a lot of gravy, but adequate. Sadly, the mashed potatoes were barely warm, and the green beans seemed to have been prepared in a skillet/pan that doesn't get cleaned. They had the taste of old oil. The steak was okay. Breading and gravy probably had the best flavor. The steak itself didn't have much flavor and was thin and had shrunk a considerable amount. Nobody ever asked me how it was. The busy bartender politely took my plate away, but then darted away. Had to flag him down to get the bill. Very pleasant when he put it back down and called me by name. (nice touch) Unfortunately that won't be enough for me to return. Back to driving a bit farther for the far superior (and cheaper) cfs at Longhorn. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you have small children, this is a great spot with an enclosed, outdoor turf area, with a few games. The burger was good. The main issue with this place is the fast food type of service for an expensive sit-down dinner pricing. Food and drinks are fairly pricey for a place where the customer needs to get everything themselves.
