A haven for readers and gamers
At 151 S Bell Blvd, Cedar Park, The Secret Lantern Books & Games blends the comfort of a neighborhood bookstore with the fun of a tabletop game café. Housed in a beautifully repurposed bank, it even lets guests play in the old vault. Owners Dianna and Dan, veterans of the video game industry, have turned their love of storytelling into a creative, inclusive space filled with books, board games, and one-of-a-kind gifts.
Adventure awaits inside
The shop’s shelves are lined with everything from novels and manga to roleplaying games and tabletop favorites. Cozy reading nooks invite you to linger, while rentable game rooms make it easy to gather friends for a night of adventure. Regular events like author signings, book clubs, and game nights keep the calendar full. With coffee, snacks, and a welcoming vibe, it’s a perfect spot for curious minds to relax and connect.
The experience
The Secret Lantern feels like a world of its own. Whether you are thumbing through a fantasy epic, rolling dice with friends, or just soaking in the creative energy, the space feels warm and imaginative. It is part café, part community hub, and all heart, bringing together readers, gamers, and dreamers under one roof.
