🏨 Cedar Park Marriott set for 2027

The Gist: A new Marriott Hotel and Conference Center is expected to open in April 2027 at CedarView, the growing development near Scheels and the future Nebraska Furniture Mart off East New Hope Drive. Plans include 297 rooms, a 30,000-square-foot conference center, a nearly 10,000-square-foot ballroom, a Riviera-inspired rooftop pool, and five food and drink concepts.
Why It Matters: This is a big addition for Cedar Park, especially with so much growth happening around CedarView. The hotel and conference space could bring in business travelers, sports teams, and larger events, while also giving locals a new option for staycations, dinner, drinks, and hosting visitors without having to head into Austin.

🛒 Walmart timeline shifts for Liberty Hill

The Gist: There's an updated timeline for when work actually begins for the new Walmart. Project filings show construction on the 176,246-square-foot Supercenter at 19699 Ronald W. Reagan Blvd. is scheduled to break ground in late October 2026, with opening day now targeted for mid-November 2027. The $12.2 million development also includes a $192,000 gas station next door.

Why It Matters: The original timeline seems to have shifted back from a late 2026 opening to mid-November 2027. While the project has drawn mixed reactions from residents, it’ll add another major retail option nearby, following Costco’s March opening and Target’s expected October 11 arrival.

✨ Bella Sera Team opens Tutta Bella

The Gist: A new Italian spot from the team behind Bella Sera of Leander has opened in Cedar Park. Tutta Bella is located at 1310 Cypress Creek Road, Suite 120, and the menu has a lot of familiar Italian favorites, including home-baked pastas, chicken Parmesan, seafood dishes, and wine by the glass or bottle. You’ll find a similar feel to Bella Sera, with a few different dishes mixed in too.
Why It Matters: Bella Sera has become a favorite for a lot of locals, so this gives Cedar Park another nearby option from a team people already know and love. It also adds one more sit-down spot for date nights, family dinners, or catching up with friends.

☕️ A bakery turning sugar into storybooks

Planning event desserts takes time, but local bakers make it simple. Located at 305 N. US Highway 183 in Leander, The Sweet Cupfé is a family-owned and operated bakery known for gourmet cupcakes, custom specialty cakes, cookies, and other scratch-made treats.
Beyond party orders, the bakery also has pastries and scones, including maple pecan scones, plus a cozy Sugared BookNook corner. Check their socials for the latest seasonal flavors and weekly updates.
