02How did you get started? Give us the origin story.
Sixth Gen Construction is a fully insured, locally owned general contracting firm based in Georgetown, Texas. The owner, Josh Herrington, leads the company with pride, building on a family tradition of construction that spans six generations. From father to son, the Herrington family has played a role in shaping Central Texas through skilled craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality. Today, we continue this legacy by delivering exceptional results on every project.

03What's your busiest day of the year like?
On any given day, we are balancing between building a new dentist office and new office spaces for WeWorks. No two days are the same!
04What's changed most in the area since you opened?
How fast the city has grown and continues to do so!
05Favorite local restaurant that isn't yours?
We love Wildfire. We went there for my anniversary dinner and fell in love!

06What other local business do you admire, and why?
We love the Boys and Girls Club of Central Texas. We did a back-to-school drive for them this fall and admired the hard work and dedication they give to our children.
07Where do you take out-of-town guests to show off the area?
We love to show them the square and the nightlife!
08What's next for the business this year?
We will be at the Trunk or Treat for the City of Georgetown this year. Come on by!
