Fill the Need: Food Drive & Hike for Hunger

@

The Round Rock Police Department is excited to introduce Fill the Need, a new community food drive replacing our annual Fill the Cop Car event. This year, we’re bringing residents, businesses and organizations together to support the Round Rock Area Serving Center ahead of the holiday season.

Bring your donations and join us Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at Centennial Plaza for a morning of music, yard games and activities for all ages. Along with supporting local families, Fill the Need is a chance to spend the morning connecting with neighbors, local organizations and members of the Round Rock Police Department.

In the weeks leading up to the event, businesses, organizations, neighborhoods, families and groups of friends are encouraged to collect non-perishable food items and bring their donations to Centennial Plaza on Nov. 14. Whether you arrive with a few items or an entire collection from your workplace or organization, every donation will help stock the shelves of the Round Rock Area Serving Center ahead of the holidays.

Activities throughout the morning will include cornhole, sack races, musical chairs, and flag football. Then, at noon, join us for our Hike for Hunger, a one-mile walk from Centennial Plaza to the Round Rock Area Serving Center to deliver the donations collected by our community.
