My parents moved to the independent living side of The Delaney in 2018. My dad passed away in 2020, and my mom continued living independently there until recently, when she transitioned first to assisted living and then to memory care. Throughout each stage, the staff at The Delaney took excellent care of my mom. She was at the highest level of care in assisted living, and shortly after moving to memory care, she needed hospice care. The Delaney staff who cared for her along with the hospice staff during her final week were more than caring—they made sure her needs were met while treating her with compassion, dignity, and respect. I especially want to recognize Bobbie, the med tech, who gently stroked my mom’s hair after administering her medication, and Charles, who took the utmost care when assisting Mom. Those thoughtful gestures meant so much to our family. We also recently held my mom’s memorial service at The Delaney, and one of the staff members, Rob Sterk, provided a Christian service for our family. That was truly a step above and beyond, and it meant so much to us. We wanted a place where our parents could age in place, and that is exactly what The Delaney provided. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in a safe environment with engaging activities and caring support. We are grateful for the care, kindness, and respect shown to our family.

I am a healthcare provider, however I have many friends who have found the Delaney for mom and dad. I visit often. The Delaney is an exceptional, senior living community. The minute you walk through the door you feel the warmth and kindness of the Staff. I have thought many times how welcome I feel when I walk in, not only by the staff, but by the residence, there are true friendships made here. The many activities encourage the community to meet and know their neighbors. Number one in my book is safety. The Delany is tops!! The professional medical options and healthcare services are right there in house. Care plan meetings help add personal attention for everyone’s needs and wants. One of the things I appreciate most is the continuum of care offered, this allowing seniors to age in place with confidence. Residence can remain in a familiar environment and as their needs change, they have the support to help them make that transition; what a huge relief for their family. What sets The Delaney apart from other facilities is the sense of community and family they have. You "feel" it as soon as you walk in the door. Remember the saying that it takes a village to raise a child. Well it also takes a village to aid seniors age with dignity. That's what The Delaney has. Every facility's shell is made up of brick and mortar. Every facility will have events for residents. When you dig a little below the surface, that's where you'll see how The Delaney's staff transforms their facility into a home. They create the environment that helps your loved one thrive. The actions of the staff, every single day, show a deep level of commitment toward maintaining a strong atmosphere of community and caring. The Delaney also has a well coordinated, integrated care model designed for flexibility. Not everyone needs the same level of service and care and The Delaney delivers by offering whatever level of service you need. Highly recommend this facility.
My mom has been in memory care at The Delaney for about a month, and I am so thankful she is there. The program director, nurses, and the caregivers, basically everyone I’ve met, are exemplary. My mom looked at her caregivers Danielle and Lola and said, “I give you an A+.” Mom never says things like that. My mom is well taken care of, and I feel 100% confident and secure when I leave because I know my mom will be treated well and is in the best place there is to be.
Absolutely the best independent living place for our mom. Every staff person focuses on her needs and makes her feel welcome and respected, including the in-house social worker, the dining room staff, the salon staff, the caregiving and therapy services by Georgetown Living Home Health, which has an office at the Delaney. We are so thankful to have found this place and we highly recommend!
Mom and Dad moved to The Delaney last month. What a difference in their quality of life! They had been living at home with private duty care during the day. It just wasn’t enough. They had no socialization - and no one available to help at night. This was the best decision our family has ever made. Thank y’all so much for your kindness and professionalism.
