I’d give ten starts if I could for incredible custom birthday cakes! I was introduced to Kayla Knight Cakes at a wedding and it was the best cake i’d ever had so of course I had to see if she made birthday cakes too - and she did! She has made multiple cakes for us, and each one has been absolutely the BEST. Her cakes are moist, bursting with flavor, and beautifully designed— IMHO a work of art. Beyond the amazing cakes, Kayla’s professionalism and creativity makes the whole experience so enjoyable every order we make. We had an extremely frustrating experience with Kayla. My fiancée and I had a tasting with her and by the end of it, we told her we wanted to move forward. We picked out our cake and the style and were excited to work with her. Because Kayla was giving us very high amounts for how many desserts we should order, we wanted to confirm quantities with our coordinator. We told Kayla we’d get back to her with the dessert numbers and she was good with that. Our coordinator was on vacation for several days, so it took us about a week to follow up. The next morning after we reached out, Kayla told us she wasn't available anymore. This completely blindsided us and left us scrambling to find a new baker. When I emailed her about it, she said she doesn't hold dates without a signed contract and retainer because she has been burned before. I understand protecting your business, but this was never clearly communicated to us during the tasting when we expressed that we wanted to move forward. There was no urgency conveyed and no indication that our date was at risk. Even just communicating with us that someone else was expressing interest in that date would've been a drastic improvement. So why was it that the next baker we found simply had us put a deposit down to reserve the date and you don't?
It has been a little while since we had our wedding, but Kayla made our cake and I couldn't have been happier. She made it look exactly like I had hoped - the cake with some donuts and flowers. We had a brunch since we had an early wedding and it was the perfect look for that. The best part was it was the best wedding cake I've every tasted and we had several people make similar comments!!! I believe we chose almond cake with raspberry and pineapple fillings. The funniest part is, I didn't even do a tasting. :D It has been a few years and I need to order a mini soon just to have some again - that's how good her cakes taste! Kayla was a pleasure to work with, which made the whole process so easy! We can't thank her enough.
I cannot recommend Kayla enough!!! Cakes were beautiful and delicious. The entire process with her was wonderful and I felt so relieved and comfortable after our consultation, I knew everything would be exactly as I had imagined it!!! It'd get married again solely to work with Kayla :)
Kayla knocked it out of the park with our wedding cake! We had a specific vision and she was able to bring it to life in the most amazing way. She was also lovely to work with and so professional. I loved my cake from Kayla! We had a Halloween wedding, so we wanted something untraditional and dark—and Kayla nailed it! We had one layer of spice cake with cream cheese filling and one layer of almond cake with raspberry filling. You can't go wrong with any flavor—based on our tasting, they're all delicious. If you go with Kayla, your cake is guaranteed to be beautiful!

Kayla was great!! We absolutely loved our cake, it was so yummy and beautiful! It was very easy to set up a tasting with her, and she had tons of example photos for us to choose from. Before the wedding, she double checked our design choices which was great, because we wanted to switch soemthing and she was super flexible with it! The cake looked beautiful at the reception and our guests loved it! Her pricing is super reasonable as well! My husband and I would highly recommend her!
