A toddler's first haircut takes patience, not speed. Ideal Barber Shop in Taylor has both. The barbers here take their time with young kids, walking them through the tools and turning a nervous afternoon into something the child looks forward to. One tip locals pass along: speak up when you talk to them, as some are hard of hearing. It does not change the cut. It is still a good one.
What a local treasure we have in Ideal Barber Shop! Old school barber shop that's been in business for decades! Harvey & Jack have forgotten more about cutting hair than most barber's ever learn! Kick back and get a great haircut, while talking football and fishing spots, just like the old days! And most importantly SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS!!!
My son turned 2 years old last week and he was in bad need of a haircut. Harvey was so patient and good with him. He showed him all the tools and included him in the process. We left the barber shop with my son wanting to go back because he had so much fun. The haircut is immaculate too. I have no idea how Harvey make his hair look so good with how my son was moving around. But he did. We’ve taken him before to the places in Austin made specifically for kids, and Ideal Barber Shop was a significantly better experience. 10/10 recommend Harvey’s toddler haircuts!
These two gentlemen are the real deal, all the way down to straight edge razor around the ear
