Georgetown Nursing and Transitional Care

I was recovering from major surgery to my cervical spine and chose GNIC because it was close to home. I cannot say enought about how well I was cared for by both the nursing staff and especially the CNA's. They were all very helpful and saw to all my needs. The physical therapy staff was great! I would recommend it to friends and will utilize it agsin should I need care again!

My husband has been well cared for. Food is good and he finally gained weight. He has PT daily. Staff is very caring. He has made friends and is happy in their atmosphere. UPDATE: Since writing this review, Wesleyan was bought out by Georgetown nursing and Reabilitation. The quality of care has dropped Significantly. There is not enough staff and nurses are working double shifts, exhausted. My husband dropped 21 pounds since August. When he calls for help, he may wait over an hour for assistance. When I visit everyday, I have found him in soiled clothes and pull-up. Now they have increased the price. We are in a quandary as to his care.

My dad and stepmom have lived there for a few weeks now. The whole family cannot say enough positive about the Wesleyan staff at the rehab center. They have given the most excellent care and definite concern for both our parents. In the last week, our stepmom had started passing and passed this morning. All of the caregivers in halls three and four Attended both of our folks with the utmost of care. everyone that took care of room 408 and 305 deserves awards for what they have done. We have grown to include many of them in our little family. One of them needs to be praised for the work the service and the care they have given and believe us it has not gone unnoticed. The Condreay family thank you from the bottom of our hearts and thanks is not enough. The staff now takes care of dad and we are grateful for the care that he has been given to the same extent that my received. We look forward the continuing care that Dad will receive. We know he’s in the best of hands. Thank God for the Wesleyan

We showed up to do a tour for our parents and the lady was so rude. Made us feel very unwelcome and like we were a burden.

My mom has been there for only 3 weeks, and her hearing aids have come up missing. The other nursing home she was in would make sure she had the hearing aids on first thing in the morning when she woke up and then assist her with taking them off and putting the hearing aids away for her, but not at this home. When I would call my mom in the morning she wouldn't even have them on. When I asked the nurse where are her hearing aids,the nurse had to run back to her room and only gave her one hearing aid, when she needs both of them.It's so disappointing, five nurses per hall and they can't even get her hearing aids on her and now they're missing.

I have to be honest because most people won’t leave a review. Since you’re looking for honest reviews, I’m here to help. The Wesleyan is not the same Christian based community from years ago that I once loved. Unfortunately, after the CEO passed away, everything changed. I witnessed how things were handled during the pandemic. Very poor decisions were made. Many unhappy families, residents and staff way before that. Do your research. Go to various communities and witness for yourself. Have lunch, follow your instincts for the best fit for your loved one. Best of luck. I truly love our senior population! They deserve dignity and optimum quality of life.
